End of Reservist

2:57 PM
Yesterday marks the end of my In-Camp Training (ICT). It has been 5 years since I last went outfield to the jungle for exercises. It has been a long and tiring ICT period. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the company of those committed and dedicated NS men and my fellow officers. This is only my first high key as a NS man and there are many more to come. I have definitely learned a lot from them and hope I have imparted some knowledge to them as well.
The schedule for this ICT is very packed. Every single day, the training program is packed to the brim with training, familiarization of the different processes, weapon system as well the the structure of my battalion. The cohesive nature of the battalion is shown during our final exercise, a 3 days 2 nights holiday chalet in the jungle as well as a build up area. The type of support that was shown during these 3 weeks of ICT by the regulars and NSF are extraordinary. Thanks for all the support shown.
There are some highs and some lows during these 2 weeks. The lack of sleep, the cohesion of the officers while we are having fun in the mess and the knowledge imparted by the 'older' groups of officers and specialists to the younger officers and specialists.
Looking forward to go back to my civilian life, work life as well as my study life.
I also wanna thank that one special person that accompany me through my ICT through SMSes, phone conversation and last minute meet up. THANK YOU!

Reservist for 3 long weeks!
Sunday, September 27, 2009
9:33 PM
First of all, sorry for the lack of updates. Been busy clearing my work in preparation for my reservist, starting from tomorrow till 16 Oct. I can still book out most of the days so can still call me to go out. Hehe.
When I start to clear my work then I realised that I have a lot of things undone and it's piling. For the past week, I have been working OT till 11 plus, super tiring. Finally I have handed over some of the unfinished work to my coverer and cleared most of the more urgent requests as for the rest of the request, let's pray hard that they don't come back during my reservist and haunt me.
This coming reservist is 3 weeks long and it comprises one low key refresher course and one high key exercise. I didn't really wanna go for this reservist because the submission date for my main assignments for both of my modules are during this reservist period and I'm afraid that I won't have time to complete both of the assignments. The difficult part of the assignments is both of the assignments is group project and thus, more time needs to be spent because discussions with my teammates needs to be carried out. I have requested for a deferment and my personal appeal was rejected. I am still unable to defer from this reservist, despite going to my MP for a deferment letter. Sigh... What to do, I LL have to go back liao lo.
And the worst thing about going for a reservist is that I need to cut my hair!!! Now I'm sporting a boy boy type of hair lo. Damn short sia!
Enough of complaining. Time for me to go and pack my stuffs for tomorrow's reservist le.

Genting Trip
Wednesday, July 8, 2009
12:11 AM
Haha!!! I know I just came back from Genting not too long ago but I went again over the weekend for 4D3N.
This time round was super tiring!!! Because I stayed in 3 different hotel during the 3 nights. Which means, one hotel per night! The process of checking in and checking out of the hotel damn tiring. But it was a gradual upgrade of hotels during the 3 nights. From First World Hotel(3 stars) to Resort Hotel(4 stars) and finally to Highlands Hotel(5 stars).
There is nothing to say about First World Hotel except for the word budget! Resort Hotel was a nice surprise for me. The room was a 5 stars hotel room except for the lack of bath tub. It came with a rain shower, damn shiok. As for Highlands Hotel, it came with internet access in the room but it is only for one laptop, though there are ways to share the internet connection among multiple laptops. And most importantly, there is a bathtub! But please take note that there is no hot water from 1am to 6am in the morning =D
The weather is still as cooling as always. Hope this short little trip will recharge me till my next trip again.

Singapore Zoological Garden
Sunday, June 21, 2009
3:00 AM
After so many years, I finally visited the Zoo once again. This time, it was free because so the free tickets.
A lot has changed and I couldn't recognise any of the trail or gift shops.
My walk in the zoo starts from 12pm and ends at 4pm. Walked a lot with plenty of breaks in between so as to continue walking. Didn't want to take the tram because it will not give us a chance to take a close look at the animals.
The only complain I have is that some of the enclosure is very smelly. With all the dungs and animal scents. *vomit*
Another things that I discovered is that the food, snacks and drinks are super expensive. Worst than Sentosa sia!
Nevertheless, it was a very enjoyable and fun trip to a place so near yet so far (Near because considering how big is Singapore. Far because it's really very far to travel there).
Anyone thinks of going to the zoo during this school holidays? I would recommend that you take action and let those kids have a look.

Economic Policy and the Global Environment

Only started school for the first term and I'm struck with this super difficult module. Very hard for me to comprehend what exactly the lecturer is trying to explain.
Half the time, I'm trying hard to relate to the things that the lecturer is saying. While the other half the time, I'm lost.
All in all, looks like I'm not a econ person.

20 contact hours of HRM
Monday, June 8, 2009
2:46 AM
First of all, sorry for the lack of updates.
I have finally completed my 20 contact hours of HRM, my first module, last week. It was a very tough week. Having to leave early for work and to go for my lectures. Luckily the lecturer is interesting enough to keep my attention on the subject. The lecturer went through a 900+ pages book in those 20 hours. It is really an achievement, judging from the method of his teaching. I would say that I have benefited greatly from this module itself.
The next module will be on economics and I heard that it will be the toughest module inn the whole of the course. The best thing is that I will need to submit this pre-course assignment on 12th June 2009, which is my birthday. It is very demoralising for me because I weren't be able to celebrate my own birthday. Sigh...
Nevertheless, I will still strive hard for the completion of this assignment.
There's all for the updates =D

assignment submission and my first lecture
Sunday, May 24, 2009
9:09 PM
Having a very bad headache right now! Because I only slept for 1 hour before going for my lecture at 9am. I was rushing for my pre-course assignment on Human Resource Management.
The question, "Define human resource management and explain how a clear and relevant HRM strategy can contribute to an organisation’s performance."
I forgotten how many times I re-do this assignment. Though I only worked on it just before the day of submission, which was yesterday. I spent almost the whole day trying to look for materials online and thinking I will be relevant in explaining the question. In the end, after my friend vet through it, he told it is totally irrelevant and that was 4am in the morning. I was having the worst studying day in my life. Never have I been in such a panic. He told me to refer to my textbook and I find all the information that I need to explain on the question.
I only managed to complete the assignment at 6am and took a 1 hour nap before going to office to print out the hardcopy of the assignment for submission.
Luckily, our lecturer Fred Lin is such a interesting and funny. I was able to concentrate on the lecture for most of the time. Time passes very fast when him explaining the module in details with reference to our telebook. Soon, it was already 5pm and we are out of class.
I need to catch my sleep liao.
Good night!

SWINE FLU!!!
The above symptoms are exactly what I have during the last few days but no worries, I have never been to Mexico, USA or any of the infected countries recently.
My illness is just the normal human flu. Hee.
Everyone, please take good care of yourself and those around you. You will never know what kind of illness you will be down with.

Poly Gathering
Wednesday, April 29, 2009
1:10 AM
Had a long awaited poly gathering on sat after my first day of school. Meet up with the rest of them at Raffles City's Shokudo. There wasn't any crowds. Found them at some ulu corner of the restaurant. Everyone seems the same, not much changes in them from the last we met up, which was close to one year ago.
This time round, the attendance was less then half the class. 9 attended, Ping(Organiser), Lifen, Elyn, Samuel, Andy, Lim Weiqiang, Xinhui, Guolin and myself.
They meet up at 11am to have a lunch gathering. After so many rounds of poly gathering, this is the first time, the gathering is organised during lunch. A pretty refreshing feeling. All of us stayed and chatted till 4 plus before leaving.
Chatted from ghost story to personal life. Almost anything under the sun.
Since the last gathering was so long ago, I missed them rather much and was really happy to see all of them doing well.
Next poly gathering, organiser will be Lifen. I think she is planning for a high tea session.

First Day of School
Sunday, April 26, 2009
3:36 AM
I finally started on my journey of my study life. Now taking a degree course at Kaplan in Marketing. Went for the orientation today and is very excited with what the course has to offer for my future career path.
The orientation started at 10am with the collection of the course materials and textbooks. I'm pretty surprised that textbooks are actually provided since I was expecting to buy them ourselves. The orientation went on with the introduction with some important people and also the important points that we are supposed to take note.
After all the introduction, was a short break to get to know my group mates better.
Next was the induction programme. I was expected some stupid get-to-know games, but it was a just naggy lecturer talking all the way with the 'insights' of the real world and bored the while class with it. I was pretty relieved when he finished his long talk.

Short Trip to Genting and KL
Friday, April 24, 2009
1:24 AM
I went on a short trip to Genting on 16th Apr 2009 night. The journey started at lavendar mrt station. Took the Premium Z-Club coach from Transtar. Not a bad experience. Spacious, plenty of leg space and a personal lcd screen.
Like most of the trip to Genting nowadays, first stop is the Tuas Checkpoint, then Yong Peng, a toilet break before going straight up to Genting.
Reached Genting at 5am and went straight to check in the First World Hotel. After settling my stuffs, went straight to the casino. HAHA!
Just forget about all the earnings and losings. Gambling is not a good thing. HAHA!
After Genting, went to KL for some official business and also to have fun. Stayed just at the doorstep of Chinatown. Although it is just a budget 3 star hotel, the room is not bad. Per night is only 50 plus Singapore Dollars, so no complains.
Had a bit of shopping and looking around before going for the night life. Pretty interesting, since it's my first time experiencing the night life in KL.
The journey back was better, because the coach has a attendant and food is also provided with coffee or tea.
Pretty good service for a coach ride.

Shinjuku Incident
Wednesday, April 8, 2009
1:16 AM
Hello everyone! It's been a long time since I last update =D
Work is shit especially now. One of my case was escalated to my CEO for a solution. Sigh. Haven't been so suay before. Let's hope my rice bowl is safe.
Today, I did a damn stupid thing. I didn't check for the exact cinema before I turn up for the movie. In the end, I went to the wrong cinema and wasted that pair of tickets and went ahead with another movie, Shinjuku Incident by Jackie Chan. I really like that show. Showing how Chinese illegal immigrants rise up to be a power to be reckoned with in Japan, Shinjuku.

Personality
Thursday, March 12, 2009
10:58 PM
I was exploring facebook and saw an interesting website.
http://www.quizbox.com/personality/
Try it!
Below is my personality as according to the test.
Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.
The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.
Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.
The seriousness of your love:
You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.
Your views on education
You may not like to study but you have many practical ideas. You listen to your own instincts and tend to follow your heart, so you will probably end up with an unusual job.
The right job for you:
You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don't focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.
How do you view success:
You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.
What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.
Who is your true self:
You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

Differences between Heaven and Hell
Wednesday, March 4, 2009
1:18 AM
I read this very meaningful story somewhere and this is how it goes.
One day, while visiting a temple, a young seeker approached the monk of the temple.
"What are the differences between Heaven and Hell?" the young seeker asked the learned monk.
"There are no material differences," replied the old monk peacefully.
"None at all?" asked the confused seeker.
"Yes. Both Heaven and Hell look the same. They all have a dining hall with a big hot pot in the center in which some delicious noodles are boiled, giving off an appetizing scent," said our old priest. "The size of the pan and the number of people sitting around the pot are the same in these two places."
The Zen master went on to explain. "Oddly, each diner is given a pair of meter-long chopsticks and must use them to eat the noodles. To eat the noodles, one must hold the chopsticks properly at their ends, no cheating is allowed,"
"In the case of Hell, people are always starved because no matter how hard they try, they fail to get the noodles into their mouths, They grow impatient and their hands and chopsticks entangle with one another's. The delicacies are scattered here and there, and everyone starves for want of those delicious foods just out of reach."
"But doesn't the same happen to the people in Heaven?"
"No. They can eat because they each feed the person sitting opposite them at the table. In heaven, People happily use the long chopsticks to pick out someone else's favorite food and feed it to that person, and in turn they are being fed by others. They all enjoy their meal in harmony. That, you see, is the difference between Heaven and Hell,"
There might be several variations of this story but in short, it is actually telling people to share, to care, to show concern, to help those around you and you are already in heaven because others will do the same to you. Selfish bastards will only be suffering on their own hell.

keppel bay
Sunday, March 1, 2009
10:18 PM
Went to Keppel Bay with the usual clique on thursday night. Since it was a big group of us, we rented a 7 seaters. After picking up everyone else except sy, we went on to our great adventure of U-turns and getting lost.
We followed the instructions from sy to exit from exit 7A from CTE, only to realise that exit 7A is for the way back home and we should exit on 7C. Went straight to Newton circus from the next exit and headed towards Novena Square. We overshot the turn, went round and round finding for a U-Turn. Finally, after many more u-turns and small roads, we reached United Square.
Finally when everyone is gathered, we headed for Keppel Bay. The atmosphere is very cosy, nice, though there wasn't much breeze. The price was pretty ok and I find my red wine rather nice.
Everything seems very good until we asked for the bill. The waiter was very soft spoken and we couldn't really make out the words that he uttered. xy was very pissed off. Enough of that waiter.
Anyway Keppel Bay is really a very nice place for dinner and chill out. I recommend it =D

drinking place
Tuesday, February 24, 2009
2:15 AM
The place that I always go for a drink is getting from bad to worse. Even since the invasion of the MIC people. Actually I'm only particularly unhappy with only one of them. Always thinks that she is the center of the world and everyone have to go along with her.
Of course, she is pretty(accordingly to many others though I beg to differ) but being pretty didn't make you a lousy person. You are not cut for the job, please don't ruin the fun for the others.
I have been a customer of this place for nearly 6 months. I have seen its best time and now is definitely its worst time. I could still remember after work, I will drop by for a little beer and I'm greeted by friendly people, be it waitress, bosses or customer. Right now, the only thing that I'm greeted is the bad, smelly faces and no customers.
If not for the friends that I have known there, I wouldn't have drop by anymore.
SIGH...

glad to have you
Friday, February 20, 2009
1:21 AM
While roaming in my own thoughts, I thought of you. Stayed with me all the while, through good and bad times. If not for you, I would not have think straight, walk straight, go straight. Straightening out my thoughts was important for myself but you played an important role.
Although you are no longer with me, you will always be there in my heart and I am glad that I have you once.
After all these years, I am still relying on the strength that you have given me. It is time for me to venture out and be on my own.
Old as my age suggest but young as my actions show. I will have to act now or never. Time waits for no one, thus no one is special in the face of time. Once you missed it, it will never be the same again. And I know that I no longer have the time to stay as it is.
Right now I will have to focus on the things I want to complete so that I can achieve what I have set out for myself. Trust me, I will be busy but I am and will be happy. I know you will be happy for me as well.
I hope that you are happy as well.

More work after holidays
Sunday, February 8, 2009
5:43 AM
Work piled up during my break period from Chinese New Year till last Sunday. Only managed to clear up all the shit on friday. Having a coverer really doesn't help because they will not know anything about the case and it is a pure waste of time trying to filter out the necessary information. But I'm still grateful for my coverer, Mr Choy, for helping me out during my absence with all the more urgent and important cases. Thank You.
I'm going to start my classes soon, maybe not so soon, starting in Apr 09. I'm really looking forward to go back to the classes though it is just a part time degree. This year, tough year, will work harder for my future. Not much time to waste.

happy niu year!
Wednesday, January 28, 2009
3:30 AM
Happy NIU Year!!!!! Mooooo!!!
Have you all collected enough ANG BAOS?!
Have you all grown fatter amid all the wonderful, delicious and fattening food of Chinese New Year?
Are your relatives and friends amazed by your latest fashions?
Are your relatives asking the same old questions every year and don't seems to remember your age correctly?
Truthfully I always thought Chinese New Year is the same every year. But somehow this year feels a lot different. While I was at my grandpa's house, I realised how much my cousins have grown and how old I really am. The eldest cousin of mine is only 22 this year and is still younger than my brother considering the month that they were born. And the youngest is only 2 years old this year. Really old liao. LOL.
The numbers of places that we are visiting are also getting lesser and lesser for various reasons. Sigh...
Anyway this also marks the end of the holiday season until April. Work harder for this tough year ahead and hope everyone will still be able to get bonus, increments and of course for those who like to try your luck, win more!

EDWIN! It has been a fun one year with you. Now that you have leave for a better future, I wish you all the best in your future endeavour.
Went to Waraku on Friday evening after work to meet with up with the 'best friends' group for dinner to wish Edwin good luck. It wasn't a emotional gathering. All of us were just teasing him all the way. He will definitely miss all the teasing.
There was also a few presents for him to bring him through to Australia. First up, a Fingertips on Chinese for his terrible chinese from Shemin. Second, a group photo of him, Shemin and Mervyn from Mervyn (Mervyn, you really looked like a manager to both of them in the photo). Last but not least, a laptop backpack from his favourite brand, Crumpler, from all of us. I hope you will really like all those presents.
After Waraku, those 'happening' ones went to Power House to have more fun. Since It will be Edwin's last with us in the year of Rat. I definitely hope there will be more to come if he is ever coming back to Singapore.

New Stuffs for the Chinese New Year
Wednesday, January 21, 2009
1:09 AM
Just came back from a shopping trip after work with Seng and Ting. Went to get new clothes and shoes for the niu(cow) year. Trade-in my old jeans for a $50 discount at Levi's Jeans. Gotten a new pair of puma casual shoes at Royal Sporting House and a new pair of shirt at G2000. Let's forget about the damage since it has been quite a while since I gotten anything new clothing for myself =D
I also went to Johor for a haircut and gave it a new colour and of course, not forgetting the seafood that all of us enjoy.
Oh ya! If anyone is free on the week of Chinese New Year, can jio me out. I have taken the whole week off. Hee.

bleak year
Monday, January 12, 2009
11:27 PM
Things haven't been going in my way from the start of 2009. Is this a bad sign that 2009 will be a bad year for me?
Firstly, kena stabbed by people.
Secondly, work has been piling up.
Thirdly, no money to get new clothes for Chinese New Year.
Lastly, where is that person that is supposed to be in my life?
Outlook for 2009 looks very bleak for me till now. Sigh...
Now for some happy things.
Congrats to Peggy with the birth of Jade. Although I couldn't be there for her first month, I truthfully felt very happy.
Actually, now that I think of it, there wasn't many happy things to talk about.

Happy 2009!

10:41 PM
A wonderful wonderful Happy New Year to everybody!
This year I went to Vivocity for the countdown party(actually it is only a lot of people gathering at a single place and do nothing). We to Dian Xiao Er to have our dinner first before slacking and chatting at the open space on level 3.
This year's fireworks looked very budgeted, short duration and not spectacular at all. So much for waiting for the fireworks.
Went to boat quay to have a drink after that. Initially, after drinking for a while, wanted to go to KBox but there wasn't any cab in sight and there were tons of people waiting for cab as well. The taxi hotline couldn't get through. Sigh... Went back to the ktv pub and continued until 6am.
Sorry for the lack of photos for both Christmas and New Year.

Christmas and Birthdays
Friday, December 26, 2008
2:44 AM
How did you spend your Christmas Eve and Day?
I spent half a day during Christmas Eve in the office. Don't think that it is boring. My department actually had something organised. There were a lunch buffet, a gift exchange session and also season greetings from everyone. Since the gifts were bought by the committee organising the event, everyone was pretty excited with the gift exchange session because we have no idea what are we going to get.
After work, I went straight home to take a rest. Actually there wasn't any plans until 1am but I still manage to get some of my friends to spend the night first. My friend had his night ruined because he lost his wallet. So we spent part of our night in the police station, making a police report. After that they wanted to leave before 12am so as to avoid the midnight crowd. I was left alone until my next event. Originally, we were going to have a movie session but there wasn't any more tickets left. DAMN IT! We should have booked earlier.
Joined my colleagues and her friends for a KTV session at Orchard Party World. Pretty short session. 3 hours only but I guess everyone was tired and after the KTV session, we parted our ways.
This year's Christmas is pretty boring, no countdown, no one cheering on the streets, a silent Christmas. At least at PS, this was what I see.
We celebrated Huiwei's Birthday at my house. Since the girls are going to Batam and Bali tomorrow, we kept the celebration short so that they will have time to pack their stuffs. Huiwei is going to Bali to attend a wedding dinner and she is the MAID OF HONOUR! While the rest of the girls are going to pamper themselves at Batam for their spa and massages. The guys? Staying in Singapore to rot.

twilight
Wednesday, December 17, 2008
1:36 AM
Today work is fucked up!!! Suddenly I realised that I have missed a lot of orders. I'm sinking liao. I need a break.
Went to watch twilight with qq, hw, yan, zc, xy and fiona(WOW! That's 6 girls and one guy! I'm in luck! Just Kidding =D ). It is about a human girl falling in love with a vampire(imagine a lamb falling in love with a lion). I quite like the show. The vampire is the ultimate hunting machine. Fast, strong and very good sensing abilities. There are some humours instill, actions and no fright scene. It is good for those who are do not want to spend movie to scare themselves. Personally I recommend you to watch this movie.
After the movie, all of us went to HK Cafe to have our dinner. All this while I were wearing a very tired and depressed face(due to work). Tried to blend in to their chat but failed. So I just let them talk and I enjoyed their conversation. Sometime senseless, sometime sexual, most of the time, shopping. LOL.

payday
Saturday, December 13, 2008
4:49 PM
YEAH!!! Finally it is payday. I have been waiting for this particular payday because I'm damn poor. Spent too much for the past month on drinking. And the great thing about this payday is the AWS, though mine is pro-rated.
Amid the global economic crisis, I am gracefully that my company still gives us the AWS. Thank You. BUT! There is something I don't understand. Why am I still receiving so much work when it is global recession? I can see that my colleagues are still working late hours(that include myself) to clear up the work. I thought there should be less work mah.
ZOUKOUT! Tonight is the night but actually I am still thinking whether I should go or not. Sounds very fun leh... Sigh... Let me think about it for a while longer ba. Since it is till 8am tomorrow.
Christmas is around the corner and I am thinking of how to celebrate it.

hectic life = no life
Friday, November 28, 2008
1:16 AM
My life now comprises a lot of work, work and work. Emails piling in my inbox, papers piling on my desk and I don't seems to be able to finish those work. Hmmm... something wrong with the way I work? or I'm too slack?
My guess for those who is going to answer my question are going to say that I'm too slack. I admit I'm very slack but I still get the work done. Doesn't that matter the most? Hmmm... My guess, I'm not just very slack. I'm super slack, too slack.
So how do I compromise for my slackness? I do OT and that's what I have been doing since Monday.
Result? Piling of works. LOL? I need to rethink on my way of working. sigh...
Amid all these work, I still manage to catch a movie, Body of Lies.
This movie is highly recommended if you...
1)Like Russell Crowe
2)Like Leonardo DiCaprio
3)Like war movies
4)Like spy and undercover missions
5)Like the scenery of Middle Eastern countries
If none of the above appeals to you then forget about this movie.
To me, this is a good movie but definitely not a fantastic one.

2:26 AM
I did OT on Friday. Actually it is more of a payback because of my stupid RT. Every time have to go early because the reporting time is 6pm. Oh well, luckily my boss is understanding enough to let me go off early and pay back.
Friday's plan was to do OT first, meet with with Huizhen for dinner and then off we go to Artery to meet up with Roy and Evelyn. Upon reaching Artery, Roy arrived at the same time and we found one nice cosy corner that we didn't know it even exist. And Evelyn was late. She arrived with a smell... yucks... But after checking out with Derrick(Manager), it was actually the smell of coke.
The incident was that the container for the coke burst last Sunday night and they have been trying to get rid of the smell for a week but to no avail.
Three of us didn't even smell it until Evelyn arrives. It must be Evelyn who brought the smell along =D
We taught a couple of card games to Shannon. Indian poker and 国王游戏. It was very fun and as more people joined in(Evelyn's friends and Edwin joined us at a later time), the game progresses.
They will discussing on our next location to go for the night and it was already 1.30am. Some wanted to go club, some ktv pub and some ktv. In the end, the vote was casted towards the KTV. Made a booking at KBox Cine and off we went for the K Supper. The food was pretty ok for a bunch of hungry ghost. And we sang till morning with Shannon and Derrick joining us after Artery close.

o bar
Monday, November 17, 2008
12:55 AM
First of all, SORRY NAT! for being so late. Though it wasn't my fault. HAHA!
Went to O bar yesterday. I was only informed of the time to meet up with Roy at PS but didn't know what time to meet with the rest. Enough said on the excuses for being late.
Reached O bar around 11pm and the place was slowly getting very crowded. Met up with a very angry Nat and a very blur Fel(you really looked very blur). We are all trying to find a place to settle down and since all the tables were taken, we just took a spot at the bar.
Opened a bottle of martell and it is freaking expensive sia. $250 per bottle. We finished it in less than 3 hours with of course, help from edwin and xl whom joined us a while later.
Roy and me went out for some fresh air and the re-entry queue was super long. We waited for around half hour. Luckily there was soccer matches to watch. Man U vs Stoke and Aston Villa vs Arsenal. No comments on the matches itself =)
Soon after going back, Nat's friends joined us.
At the end of the day, Roy was alright because he went out early to enjoy the soccer matches, Nat was very high, Felicia looks very high to me. Edwin was too sober. Xl looks very tired. Old liao la... Myself? High maybe?

Genting(Continued)
12:16 AM
We didn't have our dinner and went straight to meet with Edwin and Xl at the cinema for 007, Quantum of Solace.
The whole show is packed with action and it is a sequel from the Casino Royale. But somehow I find the show pretty boring and draggy.
Before the show even started, I was busy eating all the snacks that I can get my hands on. I was super hungry. After the show, we went to eat Bak Kut Teh and it costed each person 25RM. WTF sia. The first question was whether they included abalone into the Bak Kut Teh. But it seems like it is just normal Bak Kut Teh. Super duper expensive.
We went to see Ripley's Believe It or Not and there are some very interesting facts and games for us to see and play. The most interesting one will be the spinning tunnel. Before entering the tunnel, the world looks very normal. After entering, the world is spinning round and round. It is actually an optical illusion to make your mind confuse.
We went to the casino to continue with our luck after taking a bath in the hotel. This time Xl went to sleep first while the three of us continued for the night.
At first, all of us was doing very well until a change of banker that we started to lose. Damn, I should have stop.
Next day, after checking out and having our lunch, we took the bus and went back to Singapore.

genting

1:36 AM
Rushed home from the team building event to pack my bag. I haven't even started packing. Meet up with the rest at Golden Mile straight at 11pm to board our bus. The rest includes xl, edwin and roy.
Took the 26 seater bus from Sri Maju to Genting. The only stop other than the Tuas checkpoint, Genting was Yong Peng. We have a little supper before continuing the journey. For the rest of the journey, I was sleeping all the way. Too tired liao.
The moment I alighted the bus, it was freezing cold, with the wind blowing. Our first stop after checking in our luggages to the hotel counter, was MacDonald for our breakfast.
Next, we went to the casino to try our luck. Luck was pretty good to me. Won a bit. And we pretty much stayed at the casino until lunch time because the checking in time was 2pm.
We had our lunch at Kenny Rogers and the service sucks while the food was pretty ok.
Since it was xl first time in Genting and she was pretty excited about it. We brought her round the place before checking in to the hotel. We also bought the 7.15pm tickets to watch 007's Quantum of Solace. The queue for checking in was super long but luckily we get our queue number early so we didn't really waited very long.
We only booked for 2 rooms and there was 3 guys and 1 girl. Hmmm... How did we split?
Slept at the hotel for a while before going to the casino again to try my luck. This time, it wasn't very good. Sigh... Where is all my luck?!

joint teambuilding
Wednesday, November 12, 2008
12:45 AM
Wow! This is a long overdue update.
Here are some updates.
A teambuilding event on last Friday afternoon. It was a joint effort for several departments. Motive of the the event was to foster better relationship between departments so that we can work better during our daily activities in the office. The event started off with a briefing on the activities that will be available during the whole afternoon. Every one was separated into different teams consisting of people from each of the different departments.
First up was a game of treasure hunting. Every team was given a list of clues, solve the riddles/pictures while making our way over to botanic garden. We literally walked from our office over to botanic garden. The whole walk took around a little more than 1 hour. The treasure hunt continued while we are inside the botanic garden.
The walking and the heat did left a lot of us sweating, finding shades and complaining. But all in all, it was quite fun. After completing all the activities listed for the treasure hunt, all of us was gathering at a pavilion. Had a McChicken, banana and snickers for snacks before starting off with the rest of the games.
After a long and tiring day, the points gained by each of the team was consolidated and the eventual winner was Team F, MY TEAM!
Haha, all of us were giving up hope for any prizes because we only did well for the treasure hunt.
Everyone went home tired but happy. Since all of us put in effort for each of the games. I would like to thank the committee members for putting all the efforts to make this event a successfully one. I understand how hard is it since I was the chairman of the last event.

happy halloween
Saturday, November 1, 2008
5:43 AM
It is Halloween again and this year I went out to have some fun.
Initial plan was to meet with Qq and Zc at Zouk for the Halloween Party. Reached Zouk around 830pm and the place was flooded with people. The crowd was there super early lo. Even the priority queue has around 50 people queuing up to enter Zouk whereas the normal queue, it stretches around 100-200m in length and the queue is not in single file. You can imagine the amount of people present outside Zouk. The party had barely started and Zouk was already full!
There goes my party at Zouk. Gave a call to Qq, told them about the situation and mention that I will be at Boat Quay. I tried asking them to come over if the queue is unbearable. But the whole night, I didn't received any call from them. So I guess that they did enjoy their night at Zouk.
As for me, I enjoyed myself at a KTV pub. Sang a few songs so as to curb my singing addiction and it does help. Knowing more people.
Left the pub at 4am and went for supper before going home.

resort tekong

4:09 PM
I'm back from a trip to Pulau Tekong for my brother's enlistment to NS. There isn't much changes to Pulau Tekong. Everything looks pretty much the same since I left 3 years ago.
3 years I went to Pulau Tekong as an Enlistee. Today I went as a family member. The feeling is really different. Looking at my brother going through this rite of passage. Everything seems like a déjà vu for me. Reading the oath, going to the cookhouse for one last meal with us before going on his own. Lots of memories sia.
Btw, he went to Orion Company which I didn't have much impressions during my times partly because I'm from School 1 and Orion is from School 2, and it is a ladies' company because there were ladies who joined the army and were posted to Orion. But that was a good 3 years ago. I wonder where are the ladies for his batch...

Bintan
Wednesday, October 15, 2008
12:27 AM
Wooray! I'm back from my trip from Bintan. Actually I was back on Sunday but I was too tired and too sick to blog.
The trip started off with a half day of work before gathering up with the rest of the people from Telesales. Luckily I have some of the faces on the intranet(Thanks SEED), namely Edlyn, Marvin, Evelyn and Dawn. The trip will be very lonely if not for them. Together with me were Cynthia and Jessie.
Tenah Merah Ferry Terminal looks all too familiar to me since it has only been months since I have been to Bintan. The ferry ride was boring and lonely because I was sitting alone. Sleep........ all the way till Bintan.
Took a bus to Nirwana Garden Resort and check in to the hotel. Hmmm, my hotel room was really great and my room mate was Marvin. With a nice couch, a 26" Samsung LCD TV and it is facing the sea! It must be because this room was originally for John Hon, the manager.
Look at the time, it is already 6pm before I know it. Time for dinner at the Kelong. Food was really bad but the company was really fun. After dinner, we are thinking whether should we go KTV or go to the club.... Hmmm..... The KTV was a very bad idea because the latest chinese song that I recognise was 爱如潮水. The song list was very very old. So instead of going to KTV, we went to the pub to have a chat and some beer.
After pub was club. Hmmm... The music sucks, the DJ sucks and the crowd sucks too. But we have quite a big group from our side thus, everything was still pretty ok. We all had our fun. Opened one bottle of chiva and I definitely didn't drink enough. But some people still did get drunk.
Sleep.......
The following morning was pretty boring, with all the meeting, talking about the performance of Telesales and I was pretty bored. Since it has nothing to do with me.
After lunch was free and easy. Went to the beach for a walk before going back to hotel for a rest. Swimming and sun tanning were next on the agenda but since there wasn't much sun, we could only swim. Went back to hotel room to slack before going for our BBQ buffet dinner.
The dinner was held outdoor and the most unfortunate thing happened. It started raining and all of us ran, seeking for shelter before continuing our dinner.
Next was mahjong and after that club again. This time I nearly got drunk.
Morning again! Massage time! and it sucks big time. I had sores all over my body after the massage and I was still thinking of having a good time with the massage. Damn it sia!
I was already feeling that I will fall sick. I had super dry throat with a very bad cough. All came as a super combo, flu, fever, cough, sore throat and body aches.
I wasted my monday off sleeping at home. Fuck man.
Sigh... bo bian. What to do...

Paulaner, SAF and Bintan
Friday, October 10, 2008
11:24 AM
Went to Paulaner with Roy 2 days ago to meet up with Peter and Evelyn. Actually that day, we went to lavendar to check out thr price for our genting trip with Edwin and XiaoLu. Never managed to get the tickets because we do not have the necessary details and felt that the price was rather steep.
After that we went to eat steamboat at Liang Seah Street's Tian Tian. I always hear about Tian Tian on television commercial but have never tried it. Hmmm, the soup base we ordered was tom yam and wanton chicken soup. I only tasted sour for the tom yam and not a slight hint of spiciness. As for the wanton chicken soup, I can only taste wanton, no chicken. As bad as it may sound, we still have our fill. While we were still thinking of where to go, Roy called Evelyn and we went Paulaner.
That night, the 'live' band was some Irish/German group. The whole atmosphere was pretty lively but their singing sucks. In the end, we ordered 2 pints of beer, had a hearty chat before going off.
SBS! Your signboard gave me the wrong information! I was happily waiting for bus 70 after looking at the signboard. The signboard states that bus 70M weekdays last bus is 0042 and the terminating interchange is Yio Chu Kang. All of us waited and waited and when the bus finally arrive, the bus captain said that it is the last bus for the night and it is terminating at CBD's interchange. We still argued with the bus captain but in the end, we have to take a cab home. I sent Evelyn back while Roy took another cab since he is not on the way.
I have more to complain. I went for my Remedial Training yesterday evening. Ya la ya la, i failed my IPPT la. But that is not the point the point is, I went for the Remedial Training at Bedok Camp after my work, I still manage to leave early so that I won't be that late for the training. After all the travelling, I reached around 1915 and to my dismay, I found that the counter for RT was closed. Went to confront the personnel and was told that we are supposed to report not later than 1830. WTF SIA. Do you know what is working sia?! I already leave early from my normal working hours of till 1830 and I have to listen to an idiot NSF who has not start his own working life with those crap? He still dare to say that we should be informed on the latest report timing. We should but we were not informed on such important information. I still remember that the PTI said that they will not tell us on the latest timing to report because they don't want everyone to be late. But do they understand as working adult, it is irresponsible for us to leave our work early. Enough of ranting. I will just send a feedback to SAF on this matter.
After filling my stomach with gas(一肚子气), went to the gym to exercise for a while before leaving for dinner and home.
Last but not least, I am leaving for Bintan today for my company's trip after dragging for a few months. Let's hope it will be an enjoyable trip for me and the rest.

Cherie and Jeremiah's Wedding
Monday, October 6, 2008
12:37 AM
I went to Cherie and Jeremiah's Wedding yesterday night. Location was at Arena Country Club's Tung Lok Seafood Restaurant. It was very out of the way because it is just opposite Safti MI. I felt like going back to my NS life, booking in into OCS and Jurong Camp. Managed to see a lot of familiar faces from Acacia and HP. The service there was pretty bad and the facilities also suck, projector spoil, air con spoil. Sigh... But the food was pretty ok. Hee.
Nevertheless, it is a big day for Cherie and Jeremiah. Both of them looked gorgeous. I really wish them happiness forever.
After the wedding, went to continue on with the night for a KTV session at Clementi and since the Kbox only open till 3am, went to a nearby coffeeshop for a drink and watched some soccer before heading home.

one after one

11:27 PM
Yesterday I was super busy with my work. Taking over the new portfolio ain't gonna be easy. I think I will have to find a way to work faster. Too many things that I'm not sure of and have to keep bothering people on how things should be done. I definitely sounds like an idiotic asking such simple questions again and again. Memory failing? Better be not. If I happen to miss one case, IT IS THE END!
After working till 9pm, I went over to PS to meet with Roy for dinner. After which, we went to KTV and sang till 2plus am with Nat and Fel(with 2 more guys). My voice super tired because I was the one guy who is singing, the rest either don't wanna sing or too shy to sing. Sigh...
We have 3 choices after KTV, to go makan, or continue to drink, or go home(which was never a choice la. hee). Decided to go boat quay to meet with Nat's friend while Fel and the 2 other guys went back home. Went to MP at Boat Quay. It is a KTV Pub. The highlight of MP that day was awful singing. Hee. Drank quite a lot and before we knew it, it is already closing time for the shop. Had a bit of tea before sending Nat home. Roy went missing even before we get to say bye.
After sleeping for less than 3 hours, went out for movie, Mirrors. Actually the show is so-so only and not scary. Sigh, I need a good scare. Went to secret recipe for dinner and the waitress kept mixing up our orders with the table beside us. Maybe because we ordered similiar dishes but that was no excuse. In the end, even our bill also wrong. Damn dulan la. Ate Ben & Jerry's ice cream for dessert before going home. All looks very tired.

butter factory and johor bahru
Sunday, September 28, 2008
11:15 PM
Plan for the last night, butter factory. Went out with family for dinner first. We went to a nearby coffee shop for dinner. There is a newly open Grill Meat store and we all decided to try that. The grilled fish with butter lemon sauce is very good for a coffee shop store. The fish is very fresh, nicely grilled and with the sauce, it tastes wonderful.
After dinner, went to meet up with Roy at PS first because he wanted to buy a LCD TV which he gets for a very good deal. We waited quite a while for the salesperson but the rest of the deal went smoothly until payment. Roy paid using installment but the card reader was unable to read his card and that is when the delay comes about. They have to call the bank and check out the procedures for manual submission. After filling up all the paperwork, it is already near closing time. Went to Carl's Jr for Roy's dinner before meeting up with Xiaolu to go to Butter Factory.
When we reached there, there wasn't an queue and the place seems quite dead. As we enter, we noticed something is not right because there wasn't any crowd and the music sucks. Remembering what the girl at the counter said "the crowd won't come in until after 1130pm. Thus, we waited while drinking. True enough, more and more people started to flood the place and by 1230am, the whole place is over crowded. And this is when Edwin started to show up. Went dancing and this is the time when Roy started to notice a girl that has been sitting beside him for quite some time. A cute little girl named Chai Mei. Guess what, it was actually Xiaolu who went to know that girl for Roy. Damn lousy sia. Hehe. Anyway in the end, Roy didn't really talk to her much and push the responsibility of getting her number to Xiaolu. Nevertheless, she did get the number but she tried to sell the number to Roy. LOL.
Forget to much that we also met Justin there and he actually reserved for the table just beside us.
It was only 215am when Xiaolu wanna leave. I only just started. Sigh. Edwin as usual, lousy drinker, pretty much going to died soon. So all of us left for Bak Kut Teh. Then home.
Today, I went over to JB with Roy to cut hair. So instead of only cutting my hair, I also went to re-dye my hair and do treatment for 138RM. Dunno cheap or not but compare to Singapore's Salon, definitely worth it, I hope it looks good, looks pretty ok for myself =) While I was doing all these, Roy was just sleeping because he had decided not to cut his hair.
After doing my hair, it is already 4pm and where the hell is Xiaolu and Edwin. I thought they are suppose to meet at 3pm. They should be here already. Damn pissed off. In the end, it was Xiaolu who fly us aeroplane. Sian.
We went for massage and while looking at the list of service, something caught Roy's eyes and it was 香薰(xiang xun). Roy pronounces it as xiang JIAO(香蕉). LOL. The staffs there were all laughing! That aside, we tried the Ear Candle Wax because it is something new to us. The massage before the actual Ear Candle Wax was very good but the actual thing was quite disappointing. Next Roy and me went for the Foot Massage. The person was really good and it can be very painful if you are not in good health because they do exert quite a bit of strength. My left foot feel comfortable but my right foot, damn pain. I guess half of my body is in bad shape.
Next was dinner and we ordered the Beggar Chicken, Hot Plate Venison Meat, Sambal KangKong, Cereal Crayfish, Satays and Lala, The Beggar Chicken, Cereal Crayfish and Lala were good as of my standard but the rest taste either too salty or too plain.
Feeling very tried and sleepy after a long day. Time to turn in. Good night =)

Artery
2:30 AM
Initially there was a lot of planning going on for today but ended up only left with nut and me. The rest is either sick or busy. When I thought there isn't any hope left, I saw this email from nat, saying she is hungry. Immediately, I asked her out for dinner and jio-ed nut.
Meet up with nat with nut at Raffles City to 'enjoy' a meal at Shokudo restaurant. The reason for the 'enjoy' is because we ordered too much and ended up forcing the food down our throat. My stomach was super damn bloated la!
After that, we thought for so long before deciding to go Red Dot Museum for a drink at Artery. A nice place to chill out. All ordered a pint of Kilkenny and chatted until 12+ before heading home.

Acid Bar & St James Powerhouse
Monday, September 22, 2008
12:51 AM
19 Sep 2008: I went out with Roy and supposedly Edwin to chill out. So we waited for Edwin in office as usual, before meeting up with his friend. We went to Wisma's Food Republic for dinner. We went for the Teppanyaki Express. It is my first time eating teppanyaki(I know I mountain tortoise la) and I really recommend it! And it was at this moment when we asked Edwin whether is he joining us for the drink session, he said "maybe NOT!". Damn you Edwin! Waste my time waiting for you sia. PUI!
Luckily still got Felicia. She joined us after we finished our dinner. We have plenty of choices to go for chilling out and all of us made plenty of suggestions, from M Hotel to Paulaner. So we went to Meritus Mandarin Hotel's top floor and have a seat. While browsing through the menus, we decided it wasn't such a good idea to drink there because it is too expensive. We are once again lost, we went to acid bar. yes, again but it was the best place already.
There wasn't much crowd and since it is during the happy hour, we ordered half a dozen of bottled beer. Do you know what's the worst thing? The 'live' band sucks big time. It is already a mistake that person is there and the voice, pui! Luckily the 2nd band is a lot better.
After a while, we received sms from Edwin saying that he is sorry. In the end he came over to join us and we stayed till 0100am plus before going home. During the time Edwin is around, we just make him drink and he was very high/drunk at the end of the session.
20 Sep 2008: I went to KTV with Felicia, roy and her two friends, Natalie and Jason. My voice was bad, very bad, cannot even sing properly. Felicia is already good, Nat is better, Jason is quite good too and Roy, sitting around listening to concert. Hehe. The main person is yet again Edwin, saying that he will be joining us for KTV but only reached around 12. We all got very restless while waiting for him. Sometimes, he is really too much sia. Keep making people wait for him.
After KTV, we went St James Powerhouse. The crowd was madness and the whole area looks like fully packed sardines. All of us was just standing around trying to wait for a seat because Nat and Felicia know people there. So we waited and waited till we gave up waiting for a table and ended up using the podium as our table. We ordered a bottle of Martell and since we are short of time, we have to finish the whole bottle with 5 people within 2 hours. At the end of the session, status of everyone, roy sober, nat sober, felicia sober, me surprisely sober and Edwin dead drunk. And he still wanna challenge people to drink more. Cannot drink, then don't drink liao. It is ok one.
This morning wake up feeling super tired but still have to go for my driving lesson.

Mel Blanc
Wednesday, September 17, 2008
11:27 PM
Mel Blanc, does this name ring a bell in your mind? You must be wondering who the hell is this person. Born in 30 May 1908, Melvin Jerome Blank was an American voice actor and comedian. Remember anything about this man? I doubt this name will ever rings a bell in your mind.
Bugs Bunny, now here is a name that most, in fact all of you will know and should know. First appeared on July 27, 1940 on A Wild Hare.
Now let's combine both Mel Blanc and Bugs Bunny together. Mel Blanc is the voice behind Bugs Bunny from the very first appearance until his death in July 10, 1989 at the age of 81.
Mel Blanc was such an amazing person. He voiced Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Sylvester the Cat, Tweety Bird, Foghorn Leghorn, Yosemite Sam, Wile E. Coyote, Barney Rubble, Mr. Spacely, and hundreds of others.
Blanc's death from cardiovascular disease was considered a significant loss to the cartoon industry because of his skill, expressive range, and sheer volume of continuing characters he portrayed, which are currently taken up by several other voice talents; no one individual can currently match the vocal range Blanc was able to establish. Indeed, as movie critic Leonard Maltin once pointed out, "It is astounding to realize that Tweety Bird and Yosemite Sam are the same man!"
Here is a clip on Mel Blanc and hope you enjoy it.

Paulaner Brauhaus
Friday, September 12, 2008
1:47 AM
11 Sep 2008 Thursday: I went to Paulaner at Millenia Walk for a drink with my colleagues. We spent a bit of time trying to get our way there from the carpark. Since, I am new to the place, I quickly browse through the menu to see what do they have. Limited choice of beer because they only have their own brew, dark and light. And since it was their happy hour, there is a 20% off on all drinks. Later on I find out that their happy hour is from 2pm to 8pm. From Tuesday to Saturday, it is 20% off all beers and housepours. Sunday and Monday, it is one for one. There is also a 15% off for Citibank Credit/Debit card holder. The food was pretty ok and the beer is good.
When we finally found a seat, the 'live' band sang a very country song and they went off. I was wondering how is the place going to survive with such a country band and this is where I went wrong. After a while, they came back with a few good songs. This 'live' band consists of one guy and one gal and they look alike. Maybe husband and wife or siblings. When they finally bid goodbye, I was looking forward to the next 'live' band, though I hope I didn't have to wait too long.
The next 'live' band is very good. Consisting of 2 gals, 1 guys. One of the gals has a very powerful yet soft voice and the other is a powerful yet rock voice. While the guy, I found him so-so only.
After Edwin and Mervyn left, Felicia and me stayed back to listen to more songs before going. We have a few little incidents that happened. There was this very oversized guy, bumped felicia and he didn't even notice it until one of his friends told him about it. Hello! Please be more aware of your surrounding man! Next incident was a group of guys come by and there was this guy, short, ugly and thinking that he is the more stylo person in the world, 'walk with wind', wearing a pair of slippers. I really cannot fathom why people would wear slippers with pants or jeans. Don't they find the combination awful? Last incident was Felicia ordered another pint of beer but when she was reaching out for her credit card, she took out her IC to pay for her drink! I laughed uncontrollably. That was the most funniest sight of that day.
Felicia, do take a look at the card first before taking it out. Hehe.
12 Sep 2008 Friday: I went to meet up with Ting on friday for dinner. Just went around doing some window shopping before headed home because I was too tired.
13 Sep 2008 Saturday: Originally, the plan was to go clubbing but seems like the response is very poor so we changed the plan to celebrate the mid-autumn festival at Punggol Park. But there was a change of plan as Hw suggested that we go for prawn fishing at AngMoKio. First time there and everything seems so interested. Some people waiting patiently for the prawn while some busy with the BBQ. Six of us were there but we only get one rod because we just wanna try it out. For the first one and a half hour, we all use the wrong hook. We used the safety pin used to hold the hook as the hook itself because we didn't know. Damn, lesson learned.
We went to Bishan Park to carry lanterns and play with candles. LOL. Sounds like a old kid sia. Anyway all was in good fun. We went to AMK Mac for supper before going home.

Singtel F1 race
Thursday, September 11, 2008
1:12 AM
The first-ever night race to be held in Formula One history will be held in Singapore in the coming weeks. The Singapore event, scheduled for September 28, will take place on public roads around the Marina Bay area.
Everything is so shining in the front. Promotions and events going on to generate publicity for the race. But there are still people on the street that do not even know that the race is going to start this month. Some even thought that the race will be actually held next year.
How big is the F1 race? From what I know, Formula One is the 3rd biggest sporting event in the world, correct me if I am wrong, behind the Olympics and the Fifa World Cup. Yes, it is such a big event!
But what is happening behind the back of all this glamour? People working very hard to complete the assignments necessary for the whole race. People working OT to make sure things will be in place before the deadline. Why am I saying all these? Because I know of a few people, working very hard, late into the night and also working on Saturdays just to make the deadline. This whole event is really take a toll on them. I will see them very tired everyday, looking listless but still continue to work. What to do, cannot don't work leh.
It really hurts me to see people working so hard but without any recognition? All they can say is that there are part of the SingTel Formula One Race on 28 September 2008. I really hope after the whole thing, they will take a good rest and back with a very healthy and lively look on their faces.

This is a story about a lady working in a big family with lots of friendly people around her but the work she is doing, is very stressful. With tons and tons of work coming in everyday, it is a miracle that she is handling her work so well. The few sacrifices that she has to make includes, staying late to complete those higher priority job which in turn affects her family life as well as her own personal free and rest time. As time passes, more and more works are added on. Some people may think that she is given too much workload, wanted to help but they are having troubles themselves. Others may think she is not handling her work well. No matter what other people think, she continues to work hard and was given a higher post. Although having the same workload, she will have additional work to do. More reports, more allocations, more responsibilities, etc. Meanwhile, she is also fighting for the rights of her fellow colleagues but was in vain because her bosses are not supportive.
One day, she finally could not take it and decided to voice out to her boss on a possible transfer. At first, everything seems concrete, with her going over to the other department to understudy on her new job scope, at the same time, handling her current work. As time passes, something seems not right because there wasn't anything to confirm that she is moving on. And her boss seems reluctant to let her go. Days and weeks pass. She finally voice out again to check on her transfer and was given a confirmation finally. Now she needs to concentrate to pass on her knowledge to her understudy before moving on. Due to the large amount of things to learn, the estimate amount of time needed for the understudy is 1 month but they are left with 2 weeks.
First question. Why give her an impression that the transfer is concrete but not letting the understudy to learn from her?
Second question. Is the boss trying something underhand to force her to stay?
Third question. Is the boss going to blame the understudy for not doing a good job after taking over where in the first place, the boss didn't want the understudy to proceed with the learning?
Fourth question. How dark can the management world be if your boss is a underhand people who like to do such behind your back?
Hope the lady will be better in the new department =)

Happy Birthday ZC!

11:59 PM
I really meant to greet ZC Happy Birthday at this last minute. You have only 1 last minute to enjoy your birthday =D
Yesterday night went out to celebrate her birthday. Agenda was dinner at SU korean cuisine located at Far East Plaza level 1. Met with Wee at Hougang Mrt Station because both of us were late. Only managed to reach the restaurant at 7.30pm. Those who went for the dinner, Fiona, sy, xy, st, wee and myself. Qq was supposed to be there, but was sick. When wee and me reached there, the table was already full of food, including a spicy seafood pot. By the time we finished our dinner, it was around 9 plus and it was raining outside and Fiona went off first. As all of you all know, there is no continuous shelter from Far East Plaza to Cineleisure. Because next on the agenda was Zc's 各人演唱会. So on the way there, the girls took out their umbrellas and was kind enough offered to shelter us over but soon we realise that the umbrellas are only enough to shelter one of them and half of us. The one really worth mentioning belongs to sy. It is really that small that it can only shelter herself. If st used that umbrella, only his head will be sheltered. LOL.
Over at Cine, we opened a bottle of Martell and we sang until 5 plus in the morning. With Hw, Nic and Ys joining us later in the night. I sang until cannot take it when it was only 4 plus am. It had been quite some time since I sang so early into the morning, not used to it. Anyway hope you have enjoyed yourself, Zc =D
As for today, nothing much happened except for my driving lesson and it went on quite smoothly. Have pizza for dinner and it was delicious!!!
Here are some pictures =)

Is this a wrong impression or a positive hunch?
This few days are bad. Getting shitty requests from my Sales and handling idiotic backstabbers from my own department.
Sometime, I really wonder are the AMs doing their jobs. Although this comment is not for all the AMs, it is really that few AMs that are giving the rest a bad name. Why even push through the deal when we are not even able to provide? You have your commission but what do we have? Clearing up all your shit.
Our bosses are no better. It is our responsibility to check through your orders and we are suppose to get it right the first time. Putting aside human errors, things that make us human, why do you ask the AMs to get the order first time right and we do not have so much problem, chasing them to get all the necessary information when the AMs should know better what are the documents needed. Being our bosses, forget about standing on our side. We are very happy that you do not go around admitting it is our fault all the time and actually raising the issue up and solve it once and for all.
As for the idiotic backstabbers, I come what time your problem ar?! Did I ever or even bother about yours? How long you take for your regular teabreaks? I can finish my work early while you cannot, you jealous ar? No time to finish your work, still can complain. Do your job properly and stop wasting time on irrelevant stuffs la. For me being late, let the bosses do their work in coming to talk to me and not you go and backstab. You are just showing yourself as some coward by sending those anonymous SMS. Adding more workload and troubles to other while gaining momentarily happy about yourself being righteous.
Enough of whining Jason Lim. Get on with life and understand you will always be backstab by someone. Sigh.

Neon Genesis Evangelion

不自禁找尋很像她的情人 但是沒有誰 有像她的靈魂
Revisiting some of the old songs and realised that I have only been able to sing the song but I don't understand the true feelings of the song. But this phase really given me some thoughts.
Finally gotten my hands on Neon Genesis Evangelion Anime. I had always heard people talking about their first few anime and this particular anime almost certain appears. The saddest thing, I have never ever get to see any one episode until recently, the release of the movie "Rebuild of Evangelion 1.01 YOU ARE (NOT) ALONE". I shall go and enjoy my show when I got the time.
Mid Autumn Festival is coming and I can feel it in the air of my office. Everyone is talking about mooncakes and people are giving away free mooncakes. I really love mooncakes especially the traditional one with 2 yolks. Sounds fattening?! I really recommend it to people who eat a lot and cannot get fat. Hope you die of high cholesterol. Just kidding.
Everyone do take care of your own health and weight. Some things in life are worth trying for. Mooncakes, for the sake of a once a year festival(excuses) and the delicious lotus seed paste melting in your mouth, it is worth dying for. Afterall, it is just a mooncake =)
Just some fact gotten from the world of information(internet) =)
* A lotus seed paste mooncake contains 716 calories
* A lotus seed paste mooncake with one salted egg yolk has 790 calories
* If it has two salted egg yolks, that's 890 calories
* If it has four salted egg yolks, you're looking at 975 calories.
WooHoo!!! It's Friday and I have no plans yet!!! Damn It!!!

near death experience

1:47 AM
Are they together? Maybe. Maybe not. Hmmm... Wondering wondering wondering...
KTV yesterday was quite boring. We started at 10.00pm and ended around 2.00am. Anyway it was actually a good thing that it ended because I guess everyone was tired and maybe not used to the timing. I also had to wake up early for my first driving lesson after around 6 years.
My driving lesson was pretty good. I did manage to get some of the feeling back. Started off with the parallel and vertical parking. This time round, I opted for a private instructor, Mr Ong, recommended by all my friends(since all my close friends learned from him). I was pretty relaxed during the whole lesson, listening tentatively to Mr Ong's advises. After the lesson, I also went to book for my final theory since it is already expired eon years ago.
Arranged to go to Ikea for a shop with Qq and Zc in the afternoon. What's different was Zc was the one with the vehicle. They rented a car for 2 days. We didn't have much problems getting ourselves to Ikea Megastore at Tampines. Truthfully, I have never being to Ikea in my whole life. All that I know from Ikea is from their website as well as the yearly catalogues and the occasional promotions. I was trying to get some innovative ideas from the display as to how to liven up my room and also to make more space out of it. Finally decided on a bed and a bookshelf with a table. Now the problem is to fit and to arrange them into my room. Oh well, I think I will have to wait till next time when I get the measurements correct. Plenty of things to shop in Ikea and things are pretty cheap. Zc bought things for her new home.
After much walking, all of us were tired. So we rested and settled for a hotdog each before going over to Zc's new home to put her stuffs. First time at her new home. The choice of furnitures are pretty good except for her bed. It is actually a super single bed but with a platform on the side to serve both as a design as well as a storage. The platform is actually quite bulky and taken up more space. In fact, with the amount of space taken up the bed now, she can get a queen size bed and use the underside of the bed as a storage. But all it matters is that she likes it. She also has a 32" LCDTV in her room with a personal HiFi Set. But what's bothering me is that WHY IS THERE NO AIRCON?! LIKE THAT WHERE GOT SONG(hokkien hor)?!
Went to pick up St for dinner. Actually we have already decided on Botak Jones but we changed our mind to go to somewhere more ulu because we do not always have a vehicle. So we went over to Seletar Camp Area. You must be wondering what is there to eat. There is a very ulu restaurant located in this very ulu part of Seletar Camp Area, selling super-duper spicy buffalo wings. I really mean it when I say super-duper. There are different degrees of spiciness, ranging from level 1 - 30. Qq tasted level 3 before and say it was quite acceptable. So she and me decided to go for something more spicy. Level 5 here we come. We ordered half dozens of level 5 and half dozens of level 3 for Zc and St. All of us started off with the level 3 first. *breathing fire* It is very spicy but still acceptable for me and quite tasty. But that doesn't apply to St because he cannot really take spicy food. His first buffalo wings, he already wanted to scold the waiter for not bring the iced water. Next he started to sweat profusely. Next he mentioned that his mouth and tongue are numbed. I must say that he has the courage and determination to finish 3 level 3 buffalo wings in the end. Wooray!!!
After eating the buffalo wings, all of us are having very swollen lips, hmmm, like Angelina Jolie's lips, super sexy lo. That marked the end of our dinner. 我们辣饱了.
Because we need to return the vehicle by 10.30pm and still have plenty of time, we went to explore a bit. In the end, we went to the Henderson's Bridge at Kent Ridge. The night scenery is really beautiful and romantic. We enjoyed the scenery and the breeze before going for our supper at the famous NUS Cheese Prata shop. It is so "nice" that I couldn't really taste the cheese at all. Damn. Wasted my time to go all the way there to confirm that it is not nice. We sent St back to NTU hall after supper and we also go over to see his life in campus.
Here comes the near death experience. First was when going over to Ikea, Zc misunderstand my directions and near went straight into the divider in the middle of TPE. Second was when we are heading home, Zc was going into a very big turn where she actually misjudged and nearly went over to incoming traffic. Luckily both time, she managed to pull the wheels back if not, I won't be here telling you what happened. I guess it would be better for me to drive before there will be after getting my driving license.
Oh where, oh where is my driving license?
Oh where, oh where can it be?!

acid bar & half day off
Saturday, August 30, 2008
5:05 PM
Went out on Thursday night with Mervyn, Edwin and XiaoLu to acid bar to chill out. Actually wanted to go to Ice Cold Beer but there wasn't any available seats. So we hang around the area and finally decided on Acid Bar because of the 'live' band that is available and the environment is pretty good. After a while, Mervyn's wife joined us. All of us had a very nice chat with Edwin still as the 'Soul' of the group. Had only a couple pint of beer before going back to office to get my stuffs and headed home.
Woke up very early in the morning on Friday because I was 'arrowed' by my boss to be one of the guys to arrange the chair arrangement for our Business Group quarterly event. This is my first time reaching the office so early in the morning. It was 8.00am when I reached the office but there are anyway those who are there earlier. Out of the 3 guys that are supposed to be earlier, only seng and me were early. The other guy wasn't there until 9.00am I think. I thought I was bad in my timing management, he is worst. The event was held at different location where the main location is at the theatrette and the event was webcast to the other location. It is a way for us to experience the technologies and services that we will be providing our customer and also a way for us to test our own services. Actually the best thing was when our big boss announced on the half day off for the rest of the day.
After the whole event, many people in my office still went back to office to clear up their work and that included myself. Although we are having a half day off but there are still people needed to attend to customer's needs and people like me in the backend, will still need to help the sales to process the orders. After clearing most of the work at around 2pm, I went to lunch with 2 more colleagues to Queenstown to have our lunch. The Claypot Laksa that we had is very good. After lunch, I went back to get my bag before going home.
Actually I was going to meet with Ting in town but last min she changed the location. In the end, we still didn't meet because of some unforeseen circumstances.

12:16 AM
Let's talk a bit of what has been going on in my life. Uninteresting? Maybe but this blog is to a little record for myself as well to see if I have been living fully. Apparently NOT!
Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday : No special events. One word: BORING!(See what I mean?)
Saturday? Hmmm, waking up very early in the morning, 8.30am(consider very early for my type of saturday liao hor!). Actually I wanted to wake up around 7.00am so that I can make it to Ubi Driving Center to get my Provisional Driving License. This time I really wanna start my driving lessons again. But yet again, I overslept. Another reason for waking up early is that my Inter Group Games(Bowling) Competition is on that day. So thinking that I was late for the day, I took a cab down, only to realise that everyone is still having their breakfast when I reached there. Being me, I also forget to bring the shirt that represent the group and it is still laying in my office's drawer. I went to the bowling alley at Downtown East. My company booked the whole of the bowling alley for the event, including the shoes rental area with a free choice of drinks!
The game started only at around 10.30am which is where overtime. First round, 2 of my team's top players off with a bad start. Eventually one of them, Roger, came back with a score of 174. Pretty standard for him. While the other one, Chin Peow, didn't fare as well. I did pretty standard with score around 123. Edwin did his worst since the start of our bowling practice of 95. The player worth mentioning is XiaoLu, getting a over 100 points. Her personal best. Well Done =D Second round, this is consider our team's best round because of our best total pinfalls. Our top 2 players, Roger and Chin Peow, continued with the trend while Edwin and myself improved. Edwin to 110 and 156 myself. XiaoLu did slipped a bit to around 85. Third round. All of us were already very tired and I were very hungry without my breakfast. All of us slipped in our score. In the game where there were 24 teams, I last remembered that we finished 12.
Even before the game ended, I had already decided to have my brunch(breakfast and lunch) after the game. Chin Peow, Roger, Xiaolu, Edwin, Jade and myself went to Mcdonald's for their lunch and my brunch. On top of the normal upsized meal, I ordered an extra burger for my insatiable appetite.
After our meal, actually Xiaolu wanted to watch The Mummy 3 and asked me to watch with her. Initially I didn't wanna watch movie because I have watched the movie already and I wanted to go IKEA to check out on something to add in my room. After she asked so many times and I actually felt paiseh, so we decided to watch any other movie and Edwin also joined us for the movie. In the end, we watch the movie, 4bia.
It is actually 4 short movie, filmed by 4 different directors. I really like the first and third film. As for the most scary that made my hair stands is the last film. Please go and watch the movie if you like to spend money to get scare =D
After the movie, Xiaolu went off to look for her friend while Edwin wanted to eat again and I accompanied him since we are heading to town after that.
I went to Marine Square to meet up with the rest. When I reached City Hall MRT Station, everywhere was crowded with people and the MRT Station actually had to ask the people to leave the station because it is too crowded. We all had dinner at Lerk Thai. The food is pretty nice. Everyone commented that I looked very moody. In fact I were just very tired with the waking up early and the bowling game. The actual event was actualy the fireworks display by the Korean Team(I think because I heard the Da Chang Jin song). The fireworks were pretty impressive with a few new fireworks on display. After that we went for durian at 717, upper serangoon road. 12 bucks per kg. We ordered 5 and was given 1 for free. The durians were damn good!
Mahjong was next on the agenda and we successfully had 2 rounds since we are quite fast with the games. What I can say is that I wasn't good with my tiles luck.
Today I am on leave from the off-in-lieu for the National Day holiday. Slacked for most of the day, ignoring most of the office calls before leaving for Ubi driving Center to get my PDL and booked with the private instructor on an driving appointment. Went over to Plaza Singapura to meet up with Chee Wee and Sian Tien for dinner before going for the movie, Money No Enough 2, inclusive of Qq and Zc. At the start, it is the very typical start of a Jack Neo's movie but towards the end, it is very touching and mention a very important virtue that should be present even in tough times, which is filial piety. This movie actually made Qq and Zc cried. This is a very highly recommended movie. Please go and watch the movie and support local movie because there are also people that are very dedicated to the movie industry in Singapore. I will spare the movie review because people are complaining of too many movie reviews.

Hey!!! I have updated my music, "If You Leave Me Now" by Chicago. Hope you enjoy!
It has been 3 days since seng joined the company. I hope he is doing fine though most of the time he looks bored, staring into his computer screen. And my boss just passed him something to do. Something I am not even clear what to do. It is about those processes/documents for international orders and he is doing the compilation for our boss. All in all, it is 'sai' work.
His mentor has been teaching him the stuffs for 3 days but I just told him, if really don't understand, once you start on the job, you will start to know how thing work. LOL. Hope he can faster graduate and help us on our workload though he did complain to me that there is a lot of things to remember and to take note. Don't worry, I can do it, of course you can. Most important thing, just help us with our work =D

wooray! freedom again!

Freedom for my heart, no ties, no links, just me, friends and family, nothing else. Going to work hard for future.
I were thinking through my life, and realised how loser I was, maybe still is now. Never manage to get the things, the people, the objectives that were set. Going through a thinking process for my future path. Going to further my studies, though part time, I will still have to work hard for it. Actually I have a rough thought on my path but need a more clear objective in my head first.
Now back to some updates on my life.
Originally, I thought there was no plan for Friday night but ZC suggested to find some place to chill out and QQ suggested Dempsey. So I was planning to go Kinokuniya to get a book "The Definitive Book of Body Language" by Allan & Barbara Pease. I have always wanted to get this book but it always find its way to the back of my head and I happily forget about it. But because I was too busy, thus, I left the office quite late. Rushed to Far East Plaza for dinner and the Korean BBQ restaurant. The food and service is still so good, though a bit high on the price. Actually we were waiting for QQ to join us before going over to Dempsey but she was held up by her work, therefore, we went over to Dempsey's P.S Cafe to chill out. We stayed till around 1am before leaving. Nic, Hw, Qq and me ordered 2 bottles of wine, one white and one red. I like both of them, but Hw said that the red wine has too much oak taste, thus tasting a bit earthly. The rest ordered non-alcoholic drinks and the most special among them was Zc's Ice Wildberry. The first impression after tasting, a very strong bbq smell or taste of charcoal. The waiter did warn her about the drink having a smokey taste but she insisted that after a few more sips, it is actually quite nice, though I really doubt so. We were given 2 free cakes in addition to the one we ordered, courtesy of Nic as 'the one holding onto the menu'.
Saturday Night was KTV session at Cine from 6pm-10pm. Originally, it was only Adeline and me but I decided to ask some of my colleagues to come along, so in the end, we have 4 people, Adeline, Edwin, Xiaolu and myself. For the first hour, we are all busy with the food, eat and eat, take and take. After everyone had their fill, we started with the actual singing. Xiaolu and Adeline have potential in their voice. After KTV, Edwin recommended a claypot rice stall in Geylang which is very nice. Even though everyone was full, we still went for it. It is really good. Very recommended! Geylang Lorong 33, just at the corner. After supper, Edwin is going for his round and Xiaolu, home. Whereas Adeline and me, we walked from Geylang back home. Actually the journey wasn't very long, since we are chatting all the way, around 2 hours before reaching Serangoon. Adeline! Next time, we shall go for another KTV session =D
Tonight, I went out with yan for dinner at New York New York and movie, Meet Dave. First time at New York New York. The food is pretty ok and the serving is quite large. Walked inside AMK Hub for very long because there are a lot of spare time between the dinner and the movie. Meet Dave, in short, a very lame movie, not as nice as I thought it would be. 2 and 1/2 stars in my opinion. After movie, I went over to ting's place for the chat. On the way over, chatted with zc over the phone.
Going to sleep now, tomorrow, Yee Seng is coming over to work in the same department as me. More lunch Kaki =)

karaoke session with colleagues
Friday, August 15, 2008
12:16 AM
Tuesday, It was such a happening evening and it all started when Mervyn said that he is free on tuesday night and wanted to go somewhere to chill out/have fun. So I was thinking of the usual places that we went to chill out and out of nowhere, the idea of KTV just popped out and everyone was quite willing to go. Since we never been to KTV together.
On the actual day, we nearly kena fly kite by Felicia lo. WahLao! Luckily Edwin 'came down' and talked to her(more like giving her a very hard stare). LOL. We planned to meet at 7pm at Cine but due to the 'Always Late' guy, Edwin, we went for our dinner at 8pm and started to sing around 8.30pm.
The night went quick and with Shemin joining us after her exam, we all have a pretty nice time singing. We need more of these sessions but not this late into the night unless friday k? Because I nearly couldn't wake up the next morning, lucky I have my mum's loud voice. Hehe.
Wednesday, a boring and sleepy day because I didn't have enough sleep. Went to office for a while before going over to SLC at George Street for my course which starts at 11am. I was still able to hold my eyes open for the first lesson but soon after lunch, the next 2 lessons, I was already dozing off. While the last lesson was still quite interesting to keep me awake.
I have something different for lunch, a highly recommended place, anyone who wants to know, just let me know, I will tell you personally. After lunch, Mervyn and I went around CBD area because we still got a lot of time to spare before the next lesson start at 2pm. BMW was having a roadshow at the OUB building(i think) and it was introducing the BMW 1-series. Looks pretty good on the outside but the specs are too lousy for the price that it is priced.
Home was the next destination. I was actually thinking of going bowling with the IGG teams because they had scheduled a training session but decided against it and went for jogging. Luckily I didn't went for it because the session was cancelled. And there, I have an early night sleep.

I'm trying to sleep
Tuesday, August 12, 2008
12:08 AM
Am I too young? Or is my thinking too immature? Please tell me.
I have been staying up late into the night and it is affecting me. I am really feeling very tired but I really did try to sleep early. Maybe I am trying a incorrect approach in getting to sleep.
Dozing off in the office is something that is happening to me frequently if I have nothing to work on at hand. And trying to read a book or surfing the internet will make it seems too obvious that I have nothing to do(not like anyone don't know that I am usually free). Walking around the office is gaining too much attention and going to chat with another colleague/friend, I am disturbing them of their work. Damn, I need a solution to this problem. And obviously adding more workload to me is not an option because we are tentatively having the same workload. Give me some suggestions?
Waited in the office for Chin Peow so that we can be on our way to Downtown East bowling alley. From the looks of it, the attendance for today will not be very good and we are obviously running very late for our bowling session. Took his bike back to his house first to get his bowling stuffs before making our way over. And the ride was damn shiok!
All Downtown East, no one was there. So he called one of the guys that are supposed to be there. In the end, it turns out that they have already went back home because no one was there. I was thinking, why couldn't you stay and practise a bit on your own first? Enough of thinking and we carried on with our game. I played the worst game since long time ago, not even hitting 100 points until the last game. I guess I'm really too tired. But Chin Peow hit one of his better score of 214. How I wish I have that kind of skill. I guess I will stick with my straight ball.
Went to Burger King for our late dinner before he send me home on his bike.

Happy Birthday Shihyan and XiuYun!
Monday, August 11, 2008
12:00 AM
Special day for Shihyan, as for Xiuyun, sorry for this belated entry.
Just got back from the August Babies's Birthday Celebration at Downtown East Chalet. Originally the plan was to go play bowling with ST first at Downtown East before going over to the chalet to help out. And as usual, both of us are late so, we went straight to chalet. We are greeted by the 6 beautiful ladies and a extremely small set of mahjong. When I was trying to arrange my mahjong's wall, my hands nearly cramp. It was really that bad.
After which, St and me did our job of getting the fire started. While waiting, we are entertained by the TV with the repeat telecast of the National Day Parade.
There is one dish that is worth mentioning, Asparagus and Bacon Roll, because we don't really have it often during bbq. The rest of the food were pretty standard, with chicken wings, satay, sambal stingray, butter prawns, etc. With the amount of food, I am pretty impressed that only a small portion was left.
After bbq was all the cleaning up. The event worth mentioning, Zc had eaten too much and wanted some 'exercises' to digest the food and also to lose some calories. So she kept offering to 'help' us throw the rubbish away. You must be wondering that the rubbish bin is very far away from our bbq pit but the truth is, it was only about 6 meters away(trust me, because we even bothered to measure the distance =D). What a wonderful way to 'exercise'. LOL.
Went back to the chalet to set up for the cake cutting and happy birthday song. Soon after was lots of photo taking sessions with everyone taking with the individual birthday gal. No more event for the night because some of us are working tmr while the rest stayed.
After saying our goodbyes, Qq, Hw, St and me went off. But 1 min later, I received a call from Zc, I was still thinking what could have happen only after 1 min. She said 'Eh! Can you come back and help us to catch the lizard?! LOL. I went back with St and literally swept the lizard out. We made sure nothing went in again before leaving.
Qq's dad was kindly enough to send us home and we went to pick up Qq's sister before going home.
Here's the Group Photo

happy belated birthday Singapore!

4:17 AM
What is it that is holding me back?
Although I'm late at greeting Singapore for her 43rd birthday, it's better to be late than not greeting at all. Caught a glimpse of the fireworks this year and it is fantastic. The performance by our own Black Knight was nothing short of marvelous especially the heart shape maneuver. Very impressive. All this was on TV. I could only imagine how spectacular the whole performance is for those experiencing it at Marina Bay.
Today my whole family went over to Changi chalet for the celebration of my cousin, Yiting, 21st birthday though the actual day is 17th Aug. The journey to changi village was long and tiring. Especially the walk from the Changi Bus Terminate to the chalet itself. It was simply grueling. Anyway Happy Birthday Yiting.
After the chalet, I went out with Qq, Hw and Zc. So what's the transportation that we used? Qq's uncle's car and the driver, Qq! Her driving skill is not really that bad as describe by her. Although there are still things to improve, like parking and drifting left and right, etc, overall, it was a pleasant ride(at least I don't have carsick). So with our newly equipped vehicle, we went over to labrador park, near vivocity, and to west coast park's macdonald for our supper as most of us are feeling hungry.
Here is one of the many pictures taken at labrador park. Note that my face/head is twice the size of the smallest.

I have forgetten to update what happened to my tablet that went for servicing, it is back and it was delivered back to my house on 1st Aug which is actually 5 working days since I sent it in. I was really impressed by the quality of service shown by the laptop department though I think otherwise for the quality of the hardware used. Nevertheless, HP delivers what they promised to the customer(at least for my case).
Friday night, meet up with ST and Zc for dinner at NYDC while waiting for Qq. The food was quite good, especially the mud pie. NYDC's mud pie is really recommended. Everyone should go and try though it is quite expensive that such a small piece. Halfway through dinner, Qq called to say that she is not joining us for dinner and decided to join us during the after dinner event. So the rest of us went over to Ice Cold Beer to look for seats first, but the place was very crowded because the 'Happy Hour' as well as the opening ceremony of Olympic(China). Second choice, we went over to alley bar, settled ourselves comfortably while waiting for Qq, Hw and Sy. Since it was still 'Happy Hour', we ordered a few draught beers so as to share among ourselves.
Was it the end? NO! Mahjong next! Haha! You must be thinking, these group of people siao de, every week also mahjong. Please note that our mahjong only small small, 10 cents 20 cents only and there is a cap of 5 'tai' and 20 dollars. So it's pretty ok. This is the first time, definitely not the last time, I have won within these group. Of course, it is also worth mentioning that Zc won too(she has been losing since day 1 of her mahjong career).

Another bowling practice session
Thursday, August 7, 2008
2:12 AM
Thinking about what others told me. Still mustering courage? Or am I too late?
Work was pretty normal today, nothing unusual. After work, another bowling session at Pasir Ris Downtown East. We ended played only 2 games by 10pm because the process of having 8 people playing on 2 lanes was pretty slow and we started a bit late, not mentioning the waiting time for those 'disappeared' people.
While playing, I tried to revive my top-spinning skill but it was futile. I guess I'm better off sticking to my straight ball. I learned something regarding bowling too, to use the arrow located in the lanes to aim and not aiming at the first pin. Hmmm, maybe I too noob, didn't know until someone from the team mention it to me. This knowledge did help me in keeping me with more consistent hits.

The Mummy 3 - Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor
1:01 AM
Wanna have an excuse to get you to msg back, no matter how late. But... Sigh.
After hearing so many people complaining about me having too many movie reviews, here comes another one =D Actually, those movie reviews entries also included personal updates mah. Not pure movie reviews mah.
Before watching the show, we actually wanted to go to the NATAS fair and all of us thought it was at Suntec but it was too late when we realise it is at Expo. Because we have plans for holidays in the month of Nov and Dec. Now the main destination is Australia but there are discussion on Korea because Australia is too hot during the end of the year. In the end, we went to Waruku for dinner and the bowl used is WOW! Maybe I mountain turtle, paiseh paiseh. But it is really very big wor.

Next up The Mummy 3 - Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor. An action adventure movie that brings Rick O'Connell(Brendan Fraser) back from retirement. Together with his 'new' wife, Evelyn (Maria Bello) and 'new' son, Alex (newcomer Luke Ford), they are in for a new adventure in China to stop the resurrection of the Qin Emperor(Jet Li). The rest of the show, please go and see for yourself though not a nice movie.
After the movie, took a bus home.
Today after work, went over to Pasir Ris Downtown East for our bowling practise session for our IGG. Basically everyone is getting a hold of the game and hopefully we can keep this until the actual day. In the meantime, we will still go for more practise session.

Chatting around, laughing around. Those days are gone.
Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of updates. Been busy with meeting up with people since the last update.
Went to meet up with Adeline on Thursday for dinner at ICE3(pronounced as ICE-CUBE) at Serangoon Gardens(near chomp chomp). The last time we met up was on her birthday. We updated each other with our latest news. Looks like 2 more people are into her which one I named 'E' and the other one 'D' From her description, E is obviously making an attempt but he's going to fail terribly because he is too irritating and thinks he knows her very well. While D is making good progress but at a friendship level, anything further will take a bit of time.
PS. D and E are my ex-colleagues too =)
Meet up with Adeline again on Friday for dinner again but this time, got a few reasons for meeting her. Firstly, I kena fly aeroplane by XT. Secondly, I wanted to meet with D because she is going to watch movie with him at a later time. Lastly, I just wannt go out. Went to pastamania at bishan for dinner before she went for shopping. After a while she decided that there is nothing to shop in bishan, so we walked(literally) over to AMK Hub. More shopping before we settled at one corner waiting for D.
Actually after their movie, we are supposed to meet at chomp chomp for supper but D don't want to go after the movie and decided to walk her home. I think he don't want me to disturb them. Lol. So I just stayed home and sleep.
Saturday, went out to JB with QQ, ZC and ST for a half day trip. QQ and me went over first because we wanted to do our hair. Everything looks fine at kranji while we are taking the bus, until we reached the bus station at the Woodlands Custom. It is really 人山人海. A lot of people and we wasted a lot of time waiting for the bus to bring us over to Johor Custom. The weird thing was there isn't a lot of people at Johor Custom, in fact it was quite empty.
I went to eat my lunch first. Before going over to City Square to check out the hair salon. After going around we decided to go for FOX at top floor. Dye, cut and treatment for my hair, now is ash brown. Not bad. And it only cost 95RM. While QQ is 180RM because her hair is very long.
ZC and ST arrived halfway and was wearing similar coloured shirts and there goes my imagination. LOL. After doing and did a bit of shopping, we went over to Taman Sentosa for dinner. Ordered Chilli Crab, Cereal Crayfish, HK Style Cod Fish, Pork Ribs, Sambal Kangkong and Sugar Cane drinks. Guess who I met at Taman Sentosa? Guolin! And he was just sitting at the table beside me and I actually missed him. ZC and QQ commented that he looks like 30+. Guolin, it is time to slim down liao. HAHA. Anyway the whole dinner cost us 174 RM, not bad at all.
And you think after we go back to Singapore, it is the end of everything? NO! We continued with Mahjong at my house. Haha.
It is time to go out again. Will provide updates soon.

1:20 AM
A awkward feeling. Sigh.
Changed my blog music again. Unbelievable by Craig David. Hope you all like it=)
A very busy day in office, tons of work piling on my desk and most of them are urgent cases. I will be damned tomorrow. Need to work a plan to get all the outstanding cases done, at the same time, continue doing with the daily work. I were actually planning to stay late in the office to work some of the outstanding cases but decided against it because I would rather go home.
When I was least expecting, my personal phone rang. On the screen shows an unfamiliar number, wondering who it was, I picked up the phone, bracing myself for any telemarketing agent. First sentence from that guy, 'Hi Jason, I'm calling from HP and it is regarding your tablet'. The first thought, 'WTF! I CANNOT BELIEVE HP CALLED!'. People whom worked with me at our previous company will know what I meant.
Status of my tablet, unknown. They are going to run another round of Format and Recovery using their Master copy of the recovery cd even after I told them that I have run it a lot of times. They suspect the issue is with the OS because the tablet was not able to detect any network while they are testing it. I have already told them it has nothing to do with the OS, it is the hardware. Sigh, another wait. Hope it will not be long.

hellboy 2

12:51 AM
How long are we going to stay this way? Am I the one making the whole situation worse?
Hello everyone, here comes yet another movie review from me =)
Anyway, today I received news that I will be involved in an internal reshuffling because someone has left the big family and the management will need to reallocate the staffs so as to spread out the workload. And I will tentatively be moving to a more challenging role(hopefully an increase in pay). Actually for a while, I have been thinking of moving over a more challenging role but there was no opportunities. This could be a good sign for my career path. Good luck for myself.
Next up Hellboy 2: The Golden Army. A fun show to watch, more actions, more CG and finally a mix of unusual people with more humour. Went to watch the movie in Bishan with Qq and Zc. The movie starts at 7pm and I off work at 6.30pm, everything was so rush because none of us booked the tickets in advance. Met up with Qq on the train first before rushing to Bishan to get some dinner and went for our movie. Although we were late, as of GV's usual tradition, the movie started 20mins late(gratefully the movie started late).
Story: Long ago, humankind and the mystical realm were at war. The mystical realm seeked more power to end the war, created the Golden Army. Powerful, indestructible, cold machines that only obeys the order from the person who wears the Crown. The King of the mystical realm thought that this army was too powerful for a single being, decided to make a pact with the humans that the mystical realm and the humankind will not invade each other's territory. And so the war ended. The Crown was separated to 3 pieces, 2 kept by the mystical realm and 1 by the humans and the Golden Army was sealed away.
After centuries, millenniums, humans' advancement, has caused the mystical realm to lose their old glory. A self exiled prince came back and wanting to take revenge on the humans. It is up to Hellboy and his team to stop him.

faulty tablet pc

10:51 PM
I finally have the mood to bring my tablet to the service center. There is something wrong with the wireless card and the unit runs very hot after a while. It has been an issue since the first day I got it. Tried all ways to make it work. In the end, it is still faulty and I am just too lazy to go all the way to Alexander Road to get it fix and since I am no longer work in that area. Nearly forget to mention something, the tablet I got is from HP.
I have only been to HP service center once and this is the second time. Looks the same except for certain areas that are under renovation. I should say that the waiting time is quite short. Around 5-10 mins before my number was called. Maybe because it is a saturday and it was nearing the closing time of the service center.
Went over to the counter, the guy just pay attention on listening to me and writing the description of my problems. After that he took a look at my tablet to take note of any physical damage and checking on the available components. I really hope they will solve the heat issue, because it is really bothering me and of course the wireless issue that disconnect intermittently and I will have to restart the tablet before it starts to work again. But before I know it, it will disconnect again. The guy told me that the engineer will call between 3-5 working days. I really hope it is true because from past experiences, it will really take 1-2 weeks before they call.

question
10:11 AM
This is the definition of question from Wikipedia, 'A question may be either a linguistic expression used to make a request for information, or else the request itself made by such an expression. This information is provided with an answer.'
I have a lot of questions in my head but due to me being a coward, all these questions stayed in my head. When do I have the courage to ask her? How am I going to ask her? ARGH!
Fell sick while in office again. I always fall sick when it is friday and it is always a bad cold. Although I would very much wanted to see a doctor and get a MC to rest at home, two persons are on leave and I have to cover their duties for yesterday. Sigh...
Stayed till around 8pm before leaving the office while the official knock off timing is 5.30pm.
Actually I was supposed to meet ting after work, but she was already on her way home when I called her after work. So I thought of going home to have a rest but on second thought, I asked her and seng to meet up at around 11pm, at her house so we can go Chomp Chomp for supper.
I would say that the food at Chomp Chomp is getting worse, maybe the food we ordered were not from the 'famous' stores.
When I see them, I realised how long we have not been meeting. Ting got a new hairdo, still short but rebonded and a slight 'mis-cut' in the front. At least that is what I think, whereas Seng thought of it as '被狗咬过'. LOL!!! It is really not that bad la.
After sending Ting home, both of us went home too.

Mixed Feelings
Wednesday, July 23, 2008
1:25 AM
The feelings are so near, so familiar yet so distant. When can it be the same as last time or can it be the same anymore? Sigh...
My company is organising an Inter-Group Games(IGG) recently and I am involved in one of the event, bowling. Actually I was one of the last few to join the group because they are short of people. So today after work was actually a training session to get ourselves warm up for the actual competition. Went straight from work to Downtown East's Bowling Alley, the actual competition location, so that we can get used to the location, or so they thought. And with me was some of my colleagues, just to name a few, Edwin, XiaoLu and Jade.
Before we even started to play, Edwin and me went to eat our dinner first. Dinner was at New York New York. I have a caesar salad and it was served nicely mixed with some chicken shreds, bits of bacon and slices of cheese. The taste was absolutely delicious and the servings are quite big. Next for main course, I have the BBQ Spare Ribs. The meat was very tender and nicely marinated but the BBQ sauce is too sweet and tasted too much like normal tomato ketchup.
Went over to the bowling alley with a nicely filled stomach and was actually thinking of getting some warm up for bowling. I was actually just going over to have a few fun games of bowling. It has been quite a few months since I last played bowling and it really shows during the first round. My shot are everywhere, washing long-gang, hitting the corner pin, etc. After a while, finally get a hang of the game. Not too bad, at least I finished with my usual 100+ points which is nothing to brag about.
The only bad thing that happened happens after I alighted the bus, my whole arm is aching from the bowling. Damn weak!
Moving closer or moving further?

getting near
Tuesday, July 22, 2008
12:04 AM
Today I overheard something that I should not have and has left me feeling very down for the rest of the day. It is getting near but it is towards the end. Sigh......
While working my ass off in the office, I had an unexpected call from, Hw! She wanna meet up after work for dinner, so I decided to went with it since it was quite long since I last met up with her.
Met up with her and she also asked along ST and QQ at PS. After the usual shopping of the girls, we went to Thai Express for our dinner. I ordered 2 items that are rumoured to be extreme spicy, one is the Tom Yum Kung while the other is spicy fried noodles. The Tom Yum Kung is an extremely innocent looking bowl of dish, clear soup with prawns and mushrooms. But the first taste of it, WOAH!!! *blowing out fiery breath*. The Tom Yum Kung at Vivocity Thai Express is nothing compared to this. After drinking a few spoonful of soup, my tongue became slightly numb. Next up was the fried noodles. This is no original fried noodles, it is fried with small chilli padi, chilli padi seeds all around the noodles and the whole plate of noodles is giving an extremely spicy aura. *I shouldn't have ordered 2 spicy dishes at one go*
After dinner, we went on for individual shopping, where I saw things that I wanted to buy but, no money! While going home, we are discussing on our next holiday. We have a few places in mind, HongKong, Taiwan, Tokyo(dismissed since we are planning to go Hokkaido next year end) and Perth. After much discussion, we decided on Perth but we couldn't decide on the month because most of us are going on to our individual holidays. Looks like we will need more coordination on this.

My memory is getting from bad to worse. I almost forgotten where I went last Thursday night and that was when I remembered that I went St James Power Station, Dragonfly.
I went there with some of my colleagues after taking our dinner at a nearby restaurant(here goes my bad memory, I forgotten the name of the restaurant, will update once I remember. Because the food is good and the set dinner is considerably cheap). EDITED: The name of the Restaurant is CrossKeys.
It was my first time there and since we are there early(around 9pm), there wasn't a lot of people and the band was just warming up. The band is called 'Chocolate'. One of the lead female singer is really beautiful, the other one, with a power voice. As for the lead male singers, I think they were so-so only. Before the actual performance, I went to the karaoke bar on top, Mono. The sound system, I prefer something better. Sang a duet with my colleague and went back down.
All in all, it is more of a place to chill out and if you are more into Chinese Pop, you will quite like this place.
Time for me to go to bed, need to wake up early for work.

The Dark Knight

12:22 AM
Hey everyone! Updated my Do Re Me Section, 'One' by U2. Hope you all like it.
Oh Ya! I have added 'Will It Blend' website to my links. Please go and take a look for updates on the things that they blend =)
Went to watch The Dark Knight yesterday night. The ups and downs are very well down, making me wanna know what is gonna happen next. A special mention on the actor that took on the role of The Joker. A phenomenon performance by Heath Ledger but it is also the very last performance of his. He was taken away from us on 22 January 2008 due to an accidental prescription drug overdose. Thank You Heath Ledger for your performance and may you rest in peace. Back to the movie.
Story: Batman raising the stakes on his war on crime, setting to dissolve the remaining criminal organisations. Together with a new district attorney, Harvey Dent and inspector Gordon. The trio proves to be very effective but little do they know that they are in for a reign of chaos unleashed by a madman know as The Joker.
This is a movie to know more about the weaknesses of Batman and the dilemmas that he is facing in carrying his role as Batman. How is he responsible for the lives of the people of Gotham City? And finally the responsibilities that he is shouldering as the Dark Knight of Gotham City.
Side note: Harvey Dent will be the next madness known as 'Two-Face'.

Stumble upon a interesting website, Will It Blend?. It is a website promoting a blender but relates itself to many other products like the latest iPhone 3G, etc. What this website does is to blend the items with the blender to let you know the power of the blender. Truthfully, I was hooked on the website for a while to see what kind of things they put in the blender. Please go and take a look.

getaway holiday camp at kranji camp 33FCSSB
Tuesday, July 15, 2008
12:14 AM
Wake up early in the morning, afraid that I will miss the reporting time for my reservist camp, took a cab over and it friggin' cost me almost 28 bucks. Cursed those ERPs and the 35% surcharges.
Looking for familiar faces while waiting for my turn to get in-processed which I found none. Seeing people from all walks of life, joining together for a getaway holiday camp(reservist) and the only similarity is the green army uniform.
For the 5 days, I stayed with the guys, I have learned a lot from them and also taught them things. All of us are different, coming from all walks of life, we come together to train to protect our land. No matter how unwilling you are in coming, it is a good thing that you decided to join this reservist. I hope you all have enjoy the process because I did. Looking forward to the next reservist.
P/S: The 3rd paragraph is all BULLSHIT! Waste my time, go back so early in the morning, wait and wait, you think we very free ar?! Hehe, just kidding.
Anyway, just take reservist as a break from the real world stress, know more people, catch up with old friends, friends you went through shit together or people you can relate that went through the same shit. You might even find some business opportunities or a best pal.

gay for sale!!!
Monday, July 14, 2008
12:38 AM
Today went out to have an celebration of Wee's birthday(20th July).
We went out early to shop for his birthday present. Actually we have a few things in mind, but in the end we decided to get a new jacket for him. The decision came after we thought of his very gay cardigan and we truly think there is a need to change that cardigan.
Next was dinner at Chicago's Steakhouse(Level 1 of Orchard Cineleisure). The food is good, highly recommended. We went for movie after dinner, Red Cliff. Very nice show. It is separated into 2 parts. This time round, no review from me, go and watch yourself, highly recommended. And be sure to catch the second part when it is out(I hope it will be out soon).
Finally we went to Coffee Club across the road to get something to drink and also a cake for Wee. And this is when we capture the gay moments of Chee Wee on pictures and he is on sale!
Anyway I hope that he likes his present.
Birthday Cake: $4.50
Celebration of Wee's Birthday: $100(nearly)
Wee as a gay: Priceless(there is no need for a price for wee being gay)
For anything else, we always have Wee as our GAY friend =)

The nearer I wanna get to you, the further you get away from me. Are we going to end it in the manner?
I just wanna know more about you, normal friends we may be, or maybe I'm trying too hard. Too many thoughts, maybe I can just shut off for a while, continue with life, get things that are important, though I'm not saying that you are not important, I must show that I'm worth something first.
Next few plans, getting a driving license, studies and getting a better job. Holidays in between to relax =)

9:24 PM
Received my confirmation for this in-camp-training(ICT) in May. When I first received this, I was damn sian. I thought for so long they never call me up, they forgot about me liao. Too bad, I'm wrong. Sigh.
One day before reservist, I was just to start on my packing and eventually spent the whole sunday, packing my fieldpack and doing up my sbo. Plenty to pack but don't know what to start with. Realised a lot of items that I do not have. Planned to get all those items in E-Mart when I go to the camp.
Went for a haircut after packing more of the items. It has been a very long time since I last cut my hair this short. Let's hope this standard can pass.
Finally, getting my No.4 ready for reservist.

3:13 AM
Went for dinner after work yesterday. Wanted to eat at Manhattan Fish Market but the queue was so long and due to the limited amount of time left(Movie starting at 8.50pm and we are still waiting in queue at 8pm). Thus, we just choose fast food for dinner.
Next up, Hancock. I fell asleep even before the movie started, luckily I was 'poke' awake. I quite like the show, funny, exciting, a different view on a superhero.
Story: Hancock is a very unusual superhero. His heroic deeds always get onto the wrong nerve of the people. Alcoholic, destructive, taking out a group of robbers but costing the city 9 million dollars worth of damage. His life turns for the better when he met with a PR executive Ray Embrey whom he saved. Ray takes a different approach to Hancock's problem. Asking him to be jailed and making the people realise how much they needed Hancock. At the same time, Hancock and Ray's wife, Mary, are starting to have an extraordinary relationship going on.
Spoiler ahead!!!
Here is the twist. Hancock is a God created being but he was not alone. They were created in a pair and the other half is actually Ray's wife, Mary. Technically Hancock and Mary are husband and wife and for a long time(for a few thousand years in fact). They are Godlike when they are alone but when they are together, they will be a mere mortal. They are created to protect the world but at the same time, they will be able to go through the normal process of a normal human. Living, loving and eventually death when they are together. How's the ending? Please go and watch the movie.

Wanted!
Thursday, July 3, 2008
12:11 AM
Went to watch Wanted today. I think it a nice show.
Story: About a ordinary accountant living a lousy life, getting scolded by boss, girlfriend cheating on him with his best friend. He turns out to be the son of an assassin. When his long lost dad was murdered, he was recruiting into his father's organisation to follow his dad's footstep.
Spoiler ahead!!!
Here is the twist. The 'long lost dad' was just another assassin of the organisation. The head of the organisation made up the story so that they can train him to get rid of a betrayer which turns out to be his real dad. As for the ending, please go and watch the movie =)

Recall back to work
12:54 AM
Today supposed to be my off day(technically, I'm unemployed). But I was called for work because there are too many orders and too little people to manage. So I went back to do work and of course, I'm paid, OT.
Did a bit extra other than work, Eileen and Elaine was doing a video clip on last week outing. So I was giving a little ideas here and there. Overall, the video came out nicely done and the feedback gotten is good.
Today is also my Dad's birthday. Went over to Sakae Sushi for dinner as a celebration for his birthday. Hope he enjoyed.
Here is the video.

11:08 PM
Actually there are a lot of things that need to be done and was planning to do it today. But I was just too lazy so in the end, I stayed at home the whole day. A very unproductive day.
Anyway I'm on off tomorrow and I will have to start packing/preparing my stuffs for my reservist from 7th July - 12th July. When I first see the duration of this reservist, I was thinking of a big exercise but ended up to be just a range. First time reservist, don't know what is needed for preparation. But things that are confirm needed are my SBO and my uniform. Both are in bad shape.

3:00 AM
Went to Tampines with Qiuqian to get her NDS. After months of thinking, she finally decided to get the NDS, reason, she saw an 'uncle', mid-30s, playing NDS and thought that since an 'uncle' is playing NDS, it must have something attractive about it.
Went over to town area for a walk while waiting for Huiwei and Zhaochen to get the presents for Sian Tien. It is a bag(bag again) and an adidas polo tee.
Watched Get Smart, super duper funny, better than Zohan, for more information, please catch the movie yourself. Trust me, you will love that show, good for releasing stress. Laugh, laugh, laugh and laugh.
Went over to TheMindCafe to chill out. Played a few boardgames, Taboo, Luck of the Draw, etc. The games are fun.
I hope everyone enjoyed and hope Sian Tien likes his presents.

Singtel CSS-OM outing
Saturday, June 28, 2008
1:10 AM
Today is a very tiring day. Organised a CSS-OM gathering together with a hand picked group of committee members which include, HuiMin, Elaine, Maarof, Eileen and Nayomi. Actually this gathering was very rushed. We only started to plan 2 weeks ago, proposing ideas to boss and preparing the food, bbq pit, games, etc.
It happened as a normal working morning with everyone feeling very excited about the whole trip and definitely looking forward with the activities. After clearing some of our works, we gathered at ComCentre Fountain to board the bus for East Coast Park, while those who drive, make their way there themselves.
When we reached East Coast Park, we met with the first problem, a bunch of kids, looks like a school outing, led by a Caucasian 'teacher' were occupying our bbq pit. Apparently, they booked for the same pit but was for a different date. A few of us went over to check on the situation, the attitude of that 'teacher' is really very rude. She went to say that we are very rude and do not appreciate the tone we used when talking to her. She still dare to say that she is kind enough to let us use the bbq pit after 2.45pm. HELLO! We are the one who booked this particular bbq pit and you should appreciate that WE are kind enough to let YOU use the pit until 2.45pm and not the other way round. She went on saying that Singapore has a courteous campaign and we should follow it. That campaign is for people that DESERVED to be courteous with and not some idiot going around blaming others when it is their fault. Enough of that idiot.
Gathered everyone and started with our first game which is called teamwork. How the game is played is the teams(6 in total) are to form a circle, stretch out both hands and grab any available hands except those beside. By the way, we have some very good team names for our teams, Ocean 8, Creative, Dimension, Wisdom, Kungfu Panda and Power Rangers.
Second game is called Balloon War. First part of the challenge is to blow up 2 balloons and the second part is to attached the 2 balloons to either of your limbs and go around bursting other's balloons. Of course, it is not as chaotic as you are thinking right now. We splited them to a knockdown tournament.
Third game is called Lollipop, actually this is a game that involved only a pair of chopsticks and a ping pong ball. Rule of the game, to pass the ping pong ball to the last person without touching the ping pong ball except using the chopsticks.
Fourth game is simply called Whip Cream. Imagine, cherries with whip cream. What type of game you can think of?
You are right!
Put the cherry in a pool of whip cream and try to get the cherry only using your mouth and we put a twist to the game. Everyone will have to spin one round before getting the cherry.
Last game is a combination of games, Happy Feet. Each team will have to finish a specific bottles of Vitagen. After that, tied all the feet(left foot to the right foot) together and walk to the finishing point.
In between those games, of course, we met up with problems with handling our aunties, uncles but all is in good fun.
Last and not least, we have our bbq and enjoy the rest of evening.

Bintan part 3

9:48 PM
The last day of our holiday and the rain has to come. We called for the buggy to send us to the lobby so that we can catch our breakfast, because we are running late for breakfast.
Breakfast looks similar. Originally we wanted to play paintballs but due to the rain, we went to played Archery and Air Rifle. Air Rifle was pretty straightforward but Archery was a different story. I never thought that it would require so much strength and the instructor for the Archery was very idiotic. Enough about the instructor. Went back to the villa to finish clearing up our stuffs before checking out.
Put our stuffs with the counter and some of us went for a walk while the rest went for more tanning and swimming.
Finally we dragged our stuffs onto the bus towards the ferry terminal. Some of us catch a cup of noodles on the ferry because we are very hungry(never take our lunch at all).
Back in Singapore, we wanted to go to Changi Airport for our dinner but it was already very late and by the time we reached, all the shops will be closed. So we settled for Blk 85 Bedok North Road(the famous hawker centre). The black carrot cake and the minced meat noodles(soup) are very good and cheap too. I realised how much I missed Singapore hawker food.
After dinner/supper, all of us took a cab home and rest.

Bintan part 2

8:37 PM
Here comes part 2.
Woke up early for breakfast. The breakfast looks tempting with lots of choice, ranging from noodles to pancake, bacon to sunny eggs and not forgetting breads.
Right after breakfast and necessary sun protection, it's beach volley time! The weather was good, sunny, good for a tan. At first was a guy vs gal volley match. But most of the time, we are running around picking the volley ball. Then we decided to form a circle, hit the ball around and the maximum amount of times we hit before the ball dropped is 16!!! WOOT! Lousy record. Hehe.
Out we went to the sea for a swim/soak. The water is fantasia, nice, cool and clear. we can see fishes swimming around. Done nothing except to laze around in the water before moving to the swimming for a tan/swim/drink.
Time passed very fast when we are enjoying ourselves and we nearly missed the timing for our buffet lunch. To be exact, we are left with 5mins. So you may have guessed it, the singaporean way, don't care can finish or not, take it, think later. Filled each plates to the brim.
The beef was too tough, like rubber. The fish was slightly better. The mutton was ok. The crabs were good(accordingly to Fiona and Sian Tien). The cakes was ok too. The pasta sucks. Overall, the food sucks but it did fill our tummy.
Next was relaxing in the villa. OH YA(the oh ya phenomenon), I haven't describe the villa. Imagine a 2 storey chalet in Costa Sand, very similar. You get the idea?
More swimming with frisbee and people as monkeys before going over to the Kelong Restaurant. Food was ok, but the price, super expensive, no difference with a seafood restaurant of Singapore, maybe even more expensive.
After dinner, we went to the pub/bar? for a drink before resting for the day.

New Layout and a Short Holiday at Bintan
Monday, June 23, 2008
7:03 PM
Hey everyone, after so long without any updates. This is my new layout. A lot of things happened.
First thing first, i just came back from a short holiday in Bintan with my usual cliche. Enjoyable and relaxing trip, the beach, the sun, the sea.
First day
Bought food from NTUC to be brought over for the BBQ in the evening. Took the ferry(in actual fact, it is the fastcraft, Tekong ppl will know what i mean) from Tenah Merah Ferry Terminal. The journey was around 1 hour. Took the resort shuttle bus to resort, Nirwana Beach Resort. Greeted by the locals with dance and music. Because the check in time is 3pm, we 'deposited' out luggages at the counter and went to explore the area. After checking in, enjoyed ourselves at the beach. Dinner was BBQ.
